Bush evokes bin Laden warning for Kerry slogan
"He can run, but he cannot hide" is GWB's new stump slogan, calling up his empty warning to Osama bin Laden and using it to 'warn' John Kerry. Background message? Kerry = Osama. Disgraceful

1. If he gives the same effort going after Kerry as he did
Bin Laden then Kerry has very little to worry about.

His senate record? Kerry mentioned votes from his senate record a couple of different times last night.

8. This is great for Kerry
B/c Bush is going to say "Mr. Kerry you can run but you can't hide" durring the domestic debate and Kerry will be able to come back with "Mr. President, you said that about Osama Bin Laden 3 years ago, look where that got you"

CHIMP ON OSAMA AND AL QAIDA -

He added, "There's no cave deep enough for him to hide. He can run and he thinks he can hide, but we're not going to give up till he and every other potential killer" is "brought to justice."

"There is no hole or cave deep enough to hide from American justice," Bush said.

We pursued Al Qaida wherever Al Qaida tries to hide. Seventy-five percent of known Al Qaida leaders have been brought to justice. The rest of them know we're after them.

CHIMP ON KERRY

October 8, 2004

Yes, I mean, he's got a record. It's been there for 20 years. You can run, but you can't hide. He voted 98 times to raise taxes. I mean, these aren't make-up figures

12. Another Freeper-like Tactic
Freepers are fond of saying things like "Who Would Al-Quaeda Vote For?" that are meant to scare people into voting Bush. Of course, my favorite is still that Rovian lie "The economy is stroooooooooong".

14. No surprise that Bush sees all non-republicans as "The Enemy"
It's sort of a scary idea if you ask me:

"In Germany they came first for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me -- and by that time, no one was left to speak up." Martin Niemoller

16. Didn't Junior later say that Osama bin Laden was *irrelevant*?
At one point early on, he said, "Wanted Dead or Alive"..."We're smoking him out..." Later, he said (after failing to capture him), "Osama's irrelevant."

:eyes:

Maybe John Kerry ought to bring up that slogan regarding the current president and remind all Americans that Bu$h has been a miserable failure since day one. He's irrelevant to solving our problems. He's irrelevant with his failed policies. He's irrelevant with generating new jobs. He's irrelevant with affordable healthcare. He's irrelevant with stem cell research. He's irrelevant with "no child left behind". He's irrelevant with our allies. Etc. etc.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this president is *irrelevant* when it comes to the strong leadership required...the kind of leadership I can provide..." JK
