1. Wow. Contrast Nixon with Bush's babbling. |
|
I never thought I would admire Nixon.

13. Nixon may have been personally despicable ... |
|
but he was intelligent and well-educated. As a person, many of the things he said and did I find reprehensible -- but I'd never call him stupid or thoughtless. If you didn't watch him, he also was a fairly compelling speaker. Unlike Bush*, it was only the tics and twitches and the sweaty lip that beat him -- he had substance, whether you agreed with it or not, and lacked style. Our Naked Emperor lacks both style and substance and relies on fear and disingenuous sales pitches to maintain his position.
Nixon would have admired Shrub's hangers-on and had no respect for Shrub himself, I bet.

3. The quality of the discussion |
|
is amazing.
Just think, in 1960, not many people had college degrees, & yet they could follow & understand these debates.
The dumbing down of America is continually on the march!

10. Thanks!!! Because of your post, we're watching it. |
|
I do remember it, I was a kid.
I never thought I'd look at Nixon and think he seemed un-crazy.
Chimp is decidedly completely hyped-up fucking insane.
