Karl Rove.
Now that I have your attention...

is Bush in fact using the "You can run but you can't hide" tag against Kerry now?

Didn't he use this against Osama? ( just = 1100 or so days ago )

Is this just stupidity on Bush's part?

Or is this an attampt to get Kerry to mention it, before they trot out Osama, and foolishly make Kerry look out of touch....

am I paranoid?

1. It is interesting that he's using it again. What does it mean?

Have they got Osama on ice?

Stay tuned while we all find out.

6. Bush* will not capture obl because he is afraid of
what Osama will have to say about 9/11 and the complicity of the current administration in manufacturing a cause for war.

Call me a conspiracy kook if you will. The Saudis are happy to be rid of SH. Bush wanted an excuse -- any excuse -- to declare war on Iraq, and believed that it would take an incident of the dimension of Pearl Harbor to justify such an action. They conspired and the destruction of the twin towers and the lives lost on September 11, 2001 were simply collateral damage.

If Bush really wanted to capture obl, would he really turn the job over to the Afghan warlords? I can't imagine that he would have asked the Iraqis to find Saddam.

This administration is evil. This president is a thief, a liar, a mass murderer, a despot, a megalomaniac ...

And half of the people in this country say "Heil! Mein Fuhrer! You make me feel safe."

God help us all.

8. Welcome to DU, Liberal and Proud!
Me, too....and if you think you're outnumbered in Nebraska, try hanging out in darkest Mississippi for a while. But we fight the good fight still, don't we?

9. Absolutely!
And I like knowing that I'm smarter than most of my neighbors (except on Tuesdays in November).

2. When it's Rove, 'all of the above' can be true.
Yes, * used it against Kerry in the debate. Twice I think.

1100 days ago. My brain doesn't go that far back. lol? But I think I remember * using that on the 'terra rists', if not specifically OBL.

* is an idiot. That goes without saying. BUT, I don't think Rove lets * speak unless Rove has approved it first.

If * and company have OBL, I really think it might backfire on them for keeping it under wraps. Here we invade Iraq to "get the terra rists" and the one we supposedly REALLY want, we already have?
I think it would be ugly to tell you the truth. All those kids going to Iraq and dying. All the wounded. All the dead and injured Iraqi's. Not to mention their homeland being destroyed. It goes on and on. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I really think this would backfire on them.

That paranoid feeling on your part? Nah, it's just excitement. Think of it that way. Heck, every debate night I'm wishing I could tranquilize myself. I get so nervous.

3. securing the base...
is the task, freepers buy into the whole american "american" politicos.
a capture of obl wouldnt seem like a scam to them, it'd seem like a breakthrough....

ugh, america, america, where have you gone.

5. Oh yes, for sure. Meant to put that in about his base.
OH, they'd - nah, I don't want to say what his base would do if OBL shows up. But they are the only one's. I really think a lot of people would be pissed to the core about it.

As for the post below mine about how could anyone keep this a secret -I've thought the exact same thing. I mean, soldiers would have caught him, not those idiots in the White House. So what would they do? Put the soldiers in custody till they 'out' OBL? Or would the soldiers have an 'accident' and come home in a box, topped with a flag? Wouldn't put it past them. IF they have OBL, I'd lay odds they did something to whoever found him - to keep it quiet.

4. if they had osama
I'm sure it would be known. I can't imagine a soldier wouldn't write home to talk about that.

7. I don't think the troops would hold him
more of a job for the men in black.

10. Back to the "...run...hide" slogan - it's one of two things (maybe both)
Either it's meant to deflect attention away from Osama bin Laden as our enemy and transferring it to Kerry as "the enemy" (or more specifically as a terrorist),

or

It's an attempt to demonize Kerry and put him into the same category, a verbal attempt to put Kerry side-by-side with OBL. He's doing to Kerry verbally what the GOP did to Max Cleland when they put his picture alongside OBL (or was it Saddam?) to identify him with a terrorist.

That's IMHO, but what else could it be?

As another person above pointed out, with Rove it could be both.
