Swift Vets to Advertise on Monday Night Football?
This is a post from Redstate.org, Tacitus' attempt to mimic the
Dailykos...

http://www.redstate.org/story/2004/10/9/192654/752
The swift vets are NOT done, friends
I can't say a lot...but I wonder.
Mr. Kerry, do you have some rowdy friends?
Better yet, are you ready for some commercials

The author is an admitted Republican operative:

Follks, this is obviously a reference to the Monday Night Football theme:"All my rowdy friends are comin' over tonight...
Are you ready for some football?"

This is *the* October surprise.
Let the Kerry campaign know about this. Email them.
Post in their forum. Please people, JFK needs a heads up
on this shit.

1. Can't say I blame them
it's an excellent venue for advertising and they have the money to spend on it. I doubt there are going to be many undecided voters watching, so I guess tehy are gunning for the "weak Kerry" crowd. I'm sure they are also looking to shore up their base a bit more as well.

3. Who the hell watched Monday Night Blowoutball anyway?
The games always suck...the theme (if it's still the same) has been done by freepers for freepers and with the intention of getting freepers to go to bars and fill up their twelve-pack guts with piss beer and wait for the cheerleader video fill-in after one team is winning by a dozen touchdowns.

Swifties, you can piss your money on that crap.

6. They are running the first ad they ran about the POWs
in North Vietnam again here in Wisconsin. So they are saving money by recycling. And the Packers are playing Monday night so I'm sure they think they will put Wisconsin away for Bush.

9. When Al Michaels made his flip flop comment a few weeks ago
There was a huge outcry to ABC about it. The next week, Michaels cut himself back and let the audience know he's not supposed to talk politics any more. I was one that wrote, I watch MNF,and I let ABC know that if they intended to mix politics with football, I'd notify and boycott their advertisers.

Some preventative emails and calls on Monday morning to ABC would be in order IF they intend to put the Smear Boats on. I didn't like having Michael Powell on during halftime last week.
