The Irony of the Upcoming Draft (if bush steals the election) |
|
The gop propaganda machine is telling the lemmings there will not be a draft. We know what that means in their bizarro world. The poor white southern base who will rise up in huge numbers to deliver the former confederacy to the party of hate because they are too stupid to know they are being duped will soon take their sons and grandsons and nephews down to the army recruiting office to fulfill their forced patriotic duty. They will be told that forces beyond the control of the great president force his hand on this difficult decision. And the coffins will continue making their trek home.

1. Wait. Didn't a draft bill just lose 400-5 in the House? |
|
or some similarly ridiculous number? Just wondering who voted for the bill and which party they were? Had to be Republicans.

5. That was gop maneuvering |
|
to show how much "they" oppose the draft. Actually it was Charlie Rangels bill which was designed to slow lawmakers down and think about the possibility of sending their loved ones off to war. Republicans don't give a flying dog fuck about their family members let alone american citizens so the plan didn't work. If the thugs keep the house and senate and white house, it really won't matter what any of us think about the draft. Conservatives get real patriotic when the body bags come home. Thats the only time they are patriotic.

I haven't heard, but if they were GOP, this needs to be publicized.

7. There were only two congressmen who voted for |
|
the bill, and I don't know who they were. Irrelevant issue, because it was mere gop posturing. It had nothing to do with a draft, and everything to convince bush's patriotic base that he won't institute the draft - straight from rnc bizarro world.

Remember the "Forrest Gump" flashback scenes of Lieutenant Dan's previous generations of male ancestors dying in every war America ever fought in. Dan was quite upset that Gump had saved him. He felt it was his destiny to die on the battlefield.
