Help us ridicule * ! Spread the Furious George meme!

DUers, this is hysterically funny. We've been calling * a chimp for years, and now, after his second over-the-top debate performance, faint rumblings of a new nickname for him are beginning to be heard, even in the mainstream media. And the new nickname couldn't be better, or tie in any more closely with our "chimp" thing !!! It's Furious George. How perfect is that?

Now, I'm an elementary school teacher, and if you gave me a few minutes, I could probably recite all the Curious George books by heart. But just in case you're not familiar with this literary genre, Curious George is a tiny monkey who is always getting in trouble and screwing things up. To be fair, he is curious, and our chimp is not, but you can't have everything. Furious George! It's hilarious.

Here's something else we can spread related to this meme: Kerry should wear a yellow hat during the next debate, so that they look like the "man in the yellow hat" and curious George when they shake hands before the debate. And yes, I did steal that joke from a fellow DUer who posted it a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was one of the funniest things I'd ever read on DU! Now I don't remember who posted it, but please post if you do! I'd like to give him or her credit!

:) OMG, maybe we could even get a talented DU artist to do a drawing of Kerry as the "man in the yellow hat", with little curious (or furious) George somewhere down around his ankle, scampering about. C'mon, DUers, let's prove that Dems can use ridicule! We have so much to work with!

27. In 2000, He was known as "Incurious George"

Many people used that for awhile, along with the other chimp variations. Then after a few months of it becoming obvious that simple ridicule would not be enough, and that he was setting up to do GREAT harm in the appointments stage, the tone began to get more serious. (Iran/contra crooks coming on was a good indicator of something BIG coming) This was an insult to chimps, and so it dropped. Then 9-11(something BIG) HAPPENED, and he became Emperor, Inerrant Prince, The Chosen One, etc. to reflect his Messianic Crusader style.
So now is is coming full circle, back to childish ridicule. That seems appropriate somehow, it really does!
