I don't like Lieberman, but he's a good speaker. |
|
Anyone that supports this war is immediately crossed off my voting list, but I have to hand it to Lieberman as far as his speaking ability. He's obviously very intelligent, and he does have a decent sense of humor, too. His words flow, and his eyes and body language work well. He really does have a certain charisma to him.
It's just too bad that he's on the wrong side of things.

2. I see a small amount of monotone |
|
but the main thing that shines through is that he seems to be speaking naturally. His use of the language, and diction, are also very strong...

4. He sounds Washingtonese to me. |

Lieberman, like many politicians, uses that condescending, phony, super-slow talk.

5. I think they get that from talking to each other... |
|
like when you have to explain something to your "slow" (or high) friend.

When he's on he's very good. When he's not, he just comes off as condescending and without a trace of humility.

Is he a good speaker? It seems to me that he rarely answers anything. I was commenting during the debate last night that he seems to always answer a question with a (most times personal) story and makes a general "feel-good" statement at the end.

I hate Lieberman's whiny "I respectfully disagree with President Bush blah blah blah" voice. But it helps if I want to get some sleep.
