Hey - the DNC just called! |
|
Looking for $ - I told them I don't do any type of transaction over the phone (which I don't), but if they'd send along a request via mail I'd do what I can.
They were asking for a $200 donation, BTW.
Anyone else get a call like this recently?

3. DNC Congressional committee deal, about 2 weeks ago... |
|
They wanted $150, I gave them $75. I, like you, though prefer not to do this over the phone.
I feel kinda bad, cuz I yelled at the guy, told him they were breaking me (I don't EVEN want to know how much $ I've given to Dems over the past year) and that THEY BETTER WIN.
Heh heh heh. He said he was hearing that a lot.

4. I got a call a month or so ago |
|
Had a nice chat with the guy too. I couldn't donate right now, since my husband is laid-off, but the guy was really sympathetic about that. He wanted to know if he could count on my continued support with a vote for John Kerry in November, I said "oh HELL yes!" and that started a nice little conversation... basically about the basic mood in my area and things like that.

6. I haven't received any calls but lots of mail |
|
I've been sending them $20.00 a week for about three months. The State Committee wants money too, as does the State Police, and the local elementary school, etc, etc...

8. Not the DNC but the PA GOP bugs me all the time |
|
They must have gotten my info when I registered to vote. They send me countless emails and crap. They asked if I was registered to vote and they paid for my absentee ballot application and postage and everything. I expect they'll call closer to election day to see if I need a ride. They also asked if I would like to volunteer for them or donate to the goddamn GOP.
The crazy thing is that I'm registered Democrat. I proudly told them I'm voting straight ticket Democrat for the first time in my life. Kerry, Hoeffel, Politis, and Eisenhower.
