What's the deal with these "CNN MULLIGAN POLLS"?
What,are they wiping their online polls until they get the results they want?If you don't like it the first time keep doing it till you do. I sure hope we don't have another "MULLIGAN ELECTION" where the republicans keep throwing out votes until they get the results they want.Thanks alot CNN.

1. What's "Mulligan" anyway??
Sorry to sound dense, but I guess I missed the definition, though I've been seeing the term a lot.

3. A golf term meaning "do over"... If you hit a 2nd ball because you didn't
like the 1st attempt, it's called a mulligan.

Not sure of the history of the word.

4. A dictionary sez:
A golf shot not tallied against the score, granted in informal play after a poor shot especially from the tee.

2. It is a serious scandal - these people need to be fired
an open poll is an open poll. If people are better avle to organize then that is what should be reported.

All the early voters - well organized - are wiped out and then the unorganized right wing oafs catch up.

I guess we beed to vote over and over and over bit it is a damn pain to stay on top of all of them.

I saw that the freepers were DUing the polls (skewering them to Kerry) so that they would be discounted and wiped. I wonder if THAT is the rationale and the tactic. Use tyhe fact that we are w4ell organizxed to wipe them out and then let the freepers in without telling anyone.

SCANDAL

6. Simple answer -
Break averyone on DU into a team, based on your birthday.

Birthday = Jan - April = Team 1
Birthday = May - August = Team 2
Birthday = Sept - Dec = Team 3

If you're on team 1, you vote on day 1, team 2 on day 2, team 3 on day 3.

Then we see the same overall results, but it doesn't appear as if the poll was attacked.
