No excuse/early voting is about to begin
Some states have no excuse early voting. Some of these states have simply no excuse absentee, but in my state, West Virginia, we have absentee, but it must be mailed to an out-of-county address. However, starting this Wednesday to vote early all you have to do is show up at a designated location (normally county courthouse) and vote. This turns every day between now and election day a true election day, so try to get a person to vote everyday. With the massive number of new voter registrants this year and a vast majority of them registering as Democrats, it's all up to us now to get every one of Kerry's supporters to the polls.

1. But a lot can happen in the world between now and Nov. 2....
I could vote early as I never would vote for Bush. I thought he was an idiot before he became the governor of Texas. But for the "undecided", voting early might be bad if some events are still "in the can" so to speak. But such can work both ways. Still waiting for the "October surprise!"

2. VOTE NOW
Maine has absentee balloting NOW. No reason needed. Maine Democratic Party sent out mailer to every Democrat to request absentee ballot and mail back vote NOW. I sent for mine. That way, we can help others get to voting booth, call to get out the fence-sitters, go door to door to flush out the fence-sitters, etc, ALL DAY on Nove 2! I am taking a vacation day to do this on Nov 2.

3. I always vote early (well usually)
because I don't like political calls. I know who and what I will vote for. If you vote early enough, then you are taken off the lists. You get no calls and better yet, you've saved the volunteers a call.

At the very least, vote early in the day and save all of us a GOTV call.
