Zogby Interactive Poll: Weird questions
* Who would you more likely vote for president - the Tin Man, who is all brains and no heart or the Scarecrow, who is all heart and no brain?

* For each of the following questions, please choose which of the two values you feel more STRONGLY about, meaning it would trigger an intense reaction if a friend or associate made potentially offensive comments related to that value.

* Would you feel more STRONGLY if offensive comments were about Individual Freedom OR Traditional Values?

* Would you feel more STRONGLY if offensive comments were about Individual Freedom OR Protecting America at All Costs?

* Would you feel more STRONGLY if offensive comments were about Individual Freedom OR Being a Respected Member of the World Community?

* Would you feel more STRONGLY if offensive comments were about Individual Freedom OR Protecting our Civil Liberties?

* Would you feel more STRONGLY if offensive comments were about Traditional Values OR Being a Respected Member of the World Community?

(many others on all various combinations of these choices)

* Do you consider yourself a NASCAR fan?

1. I got that one too. It seemed very repetitive and so weird that
I almost thought it was a spoof.

3. They want to know what gets you "riled up"
Tin man/scarecrow I voted neither/not sure, I mean, come on.

Nascar thing is just a rudimentary gage of overall respondent IQ. :P

5. I took that poll too
Thought it was very strange. And if somebody with a 140 IQ had to read the questions three and four times, they were poorly worded questions.

6. i didnt answer the tin man question.
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 09:06 PM by bullimiami
it was stupid, narrow and not relevent. of course bush has neither brain nor heart so where does that leave us?

if it had read :: would you rather vote for a heartless, mindless, cowardly but arrogant golem OR someone with heart, brains, bravery and compassion. well I think I would have seen the point.

i thought the STRONGLY questions were a little funny but I answered them.

7. I agree--quite strange
They were poorly worded-- having to imagine a scenario etc.

Whoever's writing those needs to go back to school.

9. Guys, Zogby is a smart guy.
The Tinman question was to find out what people care about in a leader: Intelligence or heart. Yes, we all know Kerry has both and Bush has neither, but if the question was "Brains and a soul vs arrogance and stupidity" nobody would pick the 2nd one, as none of Snot's supporters see him that way.

If you HAD to choose between a strict intellectual with no soul vs a complete idiot with a huge heart, what WOULD you choose?

Intelligence every single time, because a genius would not choose stupid actions and unbalanced responses, our primary beef with shrud. Oh, and he wouldn't lie either.

10. I took it as well...

I wanted to answer tin man, but then decided to answer
"not sure" on the tin man question.....I don't want to be pigeonholed.

I hate this sort of manipulating question...
