Bush supporter told widower he hopes his dead wife burns in hell |

Grave political strategies
By Joseph Sabino Mistick Sunday, October 10, 2004
Jane Buffet of Madison, Wis., died at age 64 last month. Her obituary described her as a mother and grandmother and ended with a plea for fellow Wisconsins to honor her last request -- by voting for John Kerry. Her husband said that he was determined that her voice be heard now that she cannot vote.
He may have given up too easily, since death was rarely a bar to voting in the good old days of machine politics. Be that as it may, the Buffets' unique form of campaigning is an undeniable demonstration of serious citizenship. And it is also one more example of the high-pitched tenor of this presidential race.
If any further proof is needed that the country is widely and overzealously divided, consider the message of an anonymous caller who identified himself as a Bush supporter to widower Buffet. The political malcontent expressed his hope that Jane burns in hell. That seems like an awfully steep price to pay for supporting any candidate for any office. But these strong words are merely one of many examples of the great American divide.

The idiot will get lots of attention and will probably steer quite a few votes to Kerry.
And it's in Wisconsin!

We're the ones trying to keep this country together.
It is so disgusting and offensive when they actually attempt to place us in the same category with someone like this Neanderthal creature.

9. More "compassionate conservatism" displayed |
|
These horrid people are really showing their true colors these days, that's for sure. Cold, unfeeling, hateful and very mean spirited "Christian" flag waving "compassionate CONservatives" who have "morality and family values"......yeah,right. The hypocrisy in the repuke party is mind boggling. :puke:

10. You know, it's kinda funny- |
|
I'm an agnostic, but since the Bush administration took office I have actually been hoping that there IS a hell. An angry God sending the wicked to burn for eternity is just about the only hope we have of these bastards getting what they truly deserve.
