Sinclair Investors Speaking Out...LOUDLY
http://finance.messages.yahoo.com/bbs?.mm=FN&action=l&board=7083976&tid=sbgi&sid=7083976&mid=1264

BTW...check out their 1 year chart...those who were onboard a year ago have seen the company's stock value drop by 50% so far and unless it's a killer holiday season there's gonna be even more hell to pay.

Here's a sample...

Im selling

Im selling and I am a Bush supporter. I have never been so digusted in my life, I would of wished that SBGI would stand above politics I guess I was wrong.

and if it's one thing I know it's that the market hates uncertainty.

Anyway, when Kerry is president he will somehow get the 1996 telecommunication act repealed and a new, more balanced act, written.

I know of what I speak.

You can bet Skinner, the owner of DU, will be buying big tomorrow.

Remember who tried to screw you longs. DEMOCRATS.

There's lots of fun reading. I haven't seen a Yahoo board blow up like this in a long time. We'll need to set up a marketwatch and see how much stock our buddy Skinner and the Kerrys will be buying at very discounted rates.

5. Murdoch wants to make money
Buying up SBGI probably won't accomplish that goal. :)

6. Nope...Rupert's Maxed Out
Actually Rupert may be forced to sell stations if Kerry is elected and the provisions of the next round of Dereg (yes, there was even more on the way) that was shutdown last Spring.

Under current rules, a company can only own one television broadcast property in a market, but this restriction had been relaxed in recent years in anticipation that TV would go the way of radio that has allowed multiple station ownership in one market since the early 90's.

Several of the large broadcasters have a lot at stake here as not only would they be prohibited from dominating television licenses and driving their property and stock values ever higher, but many would be forced to sell billions in properties that could flood the market with license and depressing the value on their existing properties...all compounded on a crappy economy that's taken a real bite out of most company's advertising revenues.

Again, I'd bookmark those Yahoo charts for tomorrow, and do a little reasearch there. Yahoo is great...and thanks to whomever started things sparking there.

I was involved in a similar message board there several years ago where we exposed to investors the scams a broadcast company was proposing to current investors. While I won't take credit, the company's stock went from $15 a share to $4 in several weeks and never recovered...the company went out of business several years later.

You're a fool.

It's not about the stock. There are already websites organizing to boycott Sinclair and it's advertisers.

What do you think those advertisers are going to do? Stick thier heads in the sand? When they receive hundreds of thousands of emails and phone calls threatening to boycott them over this thing, will they turn to you and will you tell them that it's liberal looneys who dont' even buy thier cars/drinks/ect ect?

Check out http://www.boycottsinclairbroadcasting.com/pages/1/index.htm

It's just one of many. And the website you linked to - democraticunderground.com - has tens of thousands of members and THEY ARE PISSED!

Keep carping about us all you want. Sell your stock or lose money, it's that simple.

There is a pretty good chance that Kerry will win the Presidential election. If he does, he will appoint a new FCC chair.

Do you think he will look kindly on a media group that ran defamatory and illegal content right before the election?

Is this worth the investment risk to you?

11. Yes they don't want to poke this beehive of liberal looneys
because they're right. We're pissed! They lose either way. If Bush wins, we'll boycott those advertisers for 4 years. I'll carry the list in my wallet. So will everyone else I know. If Kerry wins, we'll also appoint a new FCC Director. And that will be triple painful payback.

Don't they realize the power of the internet? How many million democrats are there--125 million?

Sinclair you want to run a movie? Put in a movie theater like Michael Moore. Don't think you can pre-empt 90 minutes of FCC network prime time programming to show your sleaze without some very regrettable repercussions.

You like touching the 3rd rail? Go ahead, touch it!
