1. Thanks. No surprise. Sinclair is just another nazi organization.
That will go on trial after JK is elected.

Hopefully, executions will be outlawed for crimes of treason after they are convicted, and they can find salvation while doing life in prison.

Fucking Patriot Act loving nazi pricks.

Republicans really are nazis. Let's be honest about this.

2. . . . As if nobody would guess . . .

it's so damn obvious. You lick the a** of those you want quid pro quo. What else is new?!

This list http://www.opensecrets.org/industries/contrib.asp?Ind=C2100 says it all. Their programming demonstrates it, overall.

Legally speaking, the FCC regulations and FCC authority it derives from congress need revising from the floor to the ceiling, because presently the odor emanating from the so-called "media" stinks to high heaven. Michael Powell as Chair of the FCC (yes, Colin's kid) adds unnecessary roadblocks as well.

QED.

In the * tradition, no documentation needed for this "proof".

4. Who has the best DU link that includes a substantive discussion
of what the Sinclair people are up to?

This sounds like more of that swift-boat nonsense. It's like the Republicans came to the homecoming dance with a new dress and because it got a few people's attention, now they think that wearing that same dress to the end of the year prom will get them the same results.

5. What amazes me is that in my market
Sinclair owns UPN28 and WB22, both of which carry a lot of programming aimed at African American audiences. Do you think a blatantly Republican smear piece will actually work in that market?

6. And this is why we have a crisis in America
When large corporations pour their contributions out to the candidates, (some support both parties to have a hold on the winner) they expect something back. It is not a charitable donation as much as it is a bribe. Payback is a bitch.

How do you call it a Democracy when the process is currently usurped by abstract entities that are immortal, for all intents and purposes, and yet considered to be a person as far as rights and such go?

None of us is immortal, in the flesh at least, and most of us do not wield the immense financial and lobbying power that these entities can use to influence, control, and direct our political process overall.

We watch the media become its mouthpiece and it speaks to us in Orwellian ways. Big Brother will be born from corporate control as they the major players merge into a tighter unit. Seven major congrlamorates now have the power and the money. Will it be forever and ever, Amen?

Despite the PR commercials about how nice and wonderful the "Soul" of this or that corporation is, they have no Soul at all. They are not human but we have given them immense social and political power Money and power is their goal and God and we are on our way to becoming subjects on a Global scale.

As you watch your tele-screen, you can hear the voice of Big Brother getting louder. As the laws are mutated and Constitution diluted, you can feel his power growing. As privacy is slowly eliminated, you can feel the eyes of Big Brother watching you. He is peering into our personal lives via technology. Taken figurativly or literally, Big Brother fits as an analogy as extreme as it may sound.

So, the great Head of Oz captures the media while a small number of players in the background do the machinations and grab what they can. Let he who has eyes see and hears hear!

Goverment of the People? By the People? For the People? How can you have that when corporations are people too and their vote is now more powerful in more subtle ways? Some serious changes are in order.

7. Before lobbying and money became so important in politics
influencing politicians by giving them money or gifts used to be called "graft" or "bribery". Republicans call this "freedom of speech". A policeman that took money to provide favors to an individual would go to jail. Why do we let politicians get away with it? Is there anything we can do to turn this around?
