Heads up Florida, Pat Peale (RNC bandaid lady) is headed your way
An excerpt from an article in the Gainesville Daily Register, Sunday, October 10, 2004 by Andy Hogue (cretin4 on free republic)

Pat Peale, former Cooke County Republican chairman (sic) is preparing to lead a batallion of political soldiers to the battle ground state of Florida. The group is participating in a statewide campaign called "The Mighty Texas Strike Force". The Republican Party of Texas, confident that George W. Bu$h will draw more voters statewide than Sen. John Kerry in the Nov. 2 general election, is hoping to share the wealth of GOP voters with "battleground states", according to a press release.

The mission: To campaign for Bu$h and other Republican candidates in the battleground states and to make sure that hurricane-damaged areas have polling places. The "Strike Force" is sending Texas Republicans sometime this week (the day and time of their departure is being kept "top secret", Peale said) to states where the polls indicate a narrow race between Bu$h and Kerry.

Peale's team will head to Palm Beach County, Fla., the site of a notoriously close election between Bu$h and Vice President Al Gore in 2000. "This time is even more important because with the damage from the hurricanes, people are more concerned with getting their lives up and going." Peale said, adding that votng could be a low priority for those rebuilding their homes and businesses. "Many polling places have been destroyed (by the storms). We want to be down there to see that we have no problems with the polling places".

"By making sure that we do not have the pitfalls that we had the last time, we protect the integrity of elections and make sure that votes are not disenfranchised," Peale said.

For more information on the Mighty Texas Strike Force contact Peale at (940)665-7708.

Sorry no linkee, the local paper doesn't put the Sunday edition on the internets.

Everyone should should safer now that Pat Peale, the RNC bandaid lady, is protecting the integrity of the elections in Florida.

2. pat's ass needs a major ass kicking........
ugly is being kind and it has nothing to do with looks.

To review: in 2000 pat delivered sandwhiches to the "rioting" guys in the hallways in florida election offices. She also has had numerous dinners with the chimp.

Carpetbagging Texans shouldn't mess with the Florida elections.

Kick her ass and spit in her food.

5. Pat Peale for a thousand Alex
Edited on Mon Oct-11-04 09:35 AM by mrbill
She lives about fifteen miles away in a gated community with a lake and a golf course.

Pat came to Cooke County from Ohio in the early 90's and was very active in the ann richards/chimp governor election.

Over the years the courthouse has gone from Democrat to Slimebuckets.

The trick is to offer $10,000 to the campaign fund if you swich parties.

Pat knew Karl Rove as a youngster.

edit: spelling

4. correction please
The daily paper for Gainesville is the Gainesville Sun, a NYtimes affiliate.

http://www.gainesville.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage

I lived in Gainesville and don't recall ever seeing the Gainesville Daily Register. Not that it means they don't exist, but there circulation must be limited.

The Sun is fairly liberal and I doubt they would have a freeper reporter.

The Gainesville Daily Register has been the local newspaper for Gainesville, Texas since before I was born, 50 years ago. I live in the same gated community that she does!

I haven't played on the municpal course in years. I play every now and then at the Kiowa course because I pay handsomely for it. I've often wondered if there are any other DUers here at Kiowa. Haven't met any yet, but there are a few dems here. The dem polls here are pretty lonesome at election time!

They are owned by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. out of Birmingham, Ala. Used to be owned by the Donrey Media group.
Definitely a right-wing biased publication, but Gainesville is pretty much a republican bastion.

His Friday "editors notebook" raised the blood pressure but he had a clue about putting together a newspaper.

He was always polite with me in kind of a suck up sort of way.

J Osborne, current editor and the couch video potato, doesn't have a clue.

Andy Hogue is creton4.

Didn't get my copy of Keith King's little paper in the mail last week.

I have read here at DU for years, but I don't post much, as you can see. I use a lot of the stuff posted here for rebuttal to right-wing rhetoric.

8. Betsy Devos
Every so often I get an e-mail from Betsy Devos , Chairwoman of the Michigan Republican party and Amway Billionaire. Here's today's offering. Note the effective use of "insurgents" and the clever term "bremming".

President = Presidential -

POTUS in Oakland County this week. He was charged up! And so were the 18,000 plus people there. Last I heard, Kerry drew a couple hundred for his visits... but outside of the Detroit Economic Club, who can remember the last time he even showed up in Michigan....

Don’t Dis the Debates -

There has been some incredible spin surrounding the debates, but the most amazing stuff hasn't come from either campaign - it's come from the media... imagine that! Kerry should be able to draw on his 30 years of debate experience to put on good show, but actions speak louder than words - and Kerry's record screams...

Batten down the hatches -

I am puzzled as to the goal, but it appears that our Republican Victory Center in Dearborn was targeted as part of a nationally coordinated act of political terrorism. More than a hundred Democrat insurgents stormed the doors, knocked volunteers out of the way and tried to lay siege to our Victory Center. It was one of many such incidents in NH, OH, FL, MN, and WI. Each of them happened within an hour of each other. But our team will not be intimidated... We will not be dissuaded, we will not be denied. If anything, this will steel our resolve and increase our enthusiasm for victory...stay strong!

Michael Moore and underwear… it’s worse than you think -

Yes, he's a slacker... but messing with the electoral process won’t be stood for. In case you haven't read Drudge, watched CNN's Cross Fire or listened to BBC Radio, the MRP requested that 4 county prosecutors file a criminal complaint against Michael Moore for trying to bribe people into polling places. Underwear and noodles may seem silly and unimportant, but the party he represents has already been implicated in voter registration fraud. You simply can’t be too careful....

Breming with Confidence -

I saw Ambassador L. Paul Bremer twice this past week. The Dems have tried to abuse quotes from Ambassador Bremer over troop strength in Iraq. The truth is Bremer praised our troops and said flat out here at Michigan State that he believes we are equipped to win in Iraq. His personal observations paint a far different picture than the one we see in mainstream media. Imagine that. Funny how some will do anything to paint a negative picture of Iraq... or anything else for that matter...

Walk the Vote -

We’ve practiced for years...walking, that is. Now it’s time to walk with a purpose! "Walk the Vote" is this weekend... join thousands of your friends and neighbors for a national effort as we turn out the vote for President Bush. Call your local Victory Center Director for more information...

Courage all.

I’m out.

- Betsy
