Bush signs DOWN, Kerry signs UP
This is probably meaningless, but maybe not.

My secretary lives in a tiny town in central Michigan. Despite my best attempts, she remains undecided in the presidential race.

Each morning, she and her mom go for a walk around town. She tells me that, over the last week, she has passed at least 5 yards where Bush yard signs WERE up - each is NOW replaced by a Kerry sign.

From their yards to God's ear!

1. See The Same
I live in a strong republican area in mid-Michigan. In a normal year the yard signs are over powering for republicans. Not so this year, in fact way more Kerry signs. I also notice signs for local republican canidates but no B### signs. Something is going on around here, and it is not good for B###.

7. One in my neighborhood here in NC, too! They had a B/C sign up for
over two weeks and then it was gone after the second Debate. I don't think anyone would have stolen it..but I thought it odd.

Maybe folks are having second thoughts? OTOH, my next door neighbor put a B/C sign up right in back of my K/E this weekend. I guess they were impressed with the Chimp in the debates...They are nasty people anyway, so I wasn't surprised.

2. I've noticed the same thing.
I drove through Wake Forest, NC last Saturday and counted 4 signs on Main St for Kerry and none for Bush. This Saturday I drove the same route and counted 7 Kerry signs and, again, none for Bush.

3. I often drive through Bishopville, Maryland.
A tiny community and I will bet there are one hundred Bush/Cheney signs up and one Kerry/Edwards. These poor folks are surrounded by wingnuts but they keep the faith.

4. I live near a small northern Michigan town..........
I noticed this week-end Five Kerry signs in the windows of Small Businesses. Two things, one I thought Kerry was going to hurt small business and two, these are very brave Democrats to risk loss of sales for there political courage! Very interesting and I think a good sign.

5. Are churches giving out Bush signs?
I'm just astounded how many Bush bumper stickers and yard signs are up all over town. Getting a Kerry sign has been a bit cumbersome here in Memphis. One location in town and not in the most convenient place. I figure that the Bush campaign is either delivering signs and bumper stickers to people in their database or people are getting them at their churches. My street is about 7 to 1 Bush and I know my neighbors well enough to know that they're not going to go to very much trouble to get their signs. I don't ask because I'm really not interested in talking politics with them. I'm Jewish and not very in tune with what's going on at the evangelical churches here but I'm assuming that's whose behind it. The Democrats could learn a lesson here.

6. In my neighborhood at least 30 houses have taken down
their bush signs and replaced them with Kerry signs.
