Week 3: Kerry firms up support among once-undecided voters

(AP) — A "hung jury" of Pennsylvania voters who were undecided in the presidential contest two weeks ago reshuffled their positions after Friday night's debate, with Sen. John Kerry seeming to solidify his support.

Four of the 12 randomly selected voters said for the first time they now fully support candidates they had previously only leaned toward. Three said they will vote for Kerry, the Democratic nominee, in the Nov. 2 election. One said he will vote to re-elect the Republican incumbent.

Among the others, when pressed to say whom they would support if the election were held today, two picked Kerry and two chose Bush in the third round of weekly interviews by The Associated Press.

Two who previously picked Bush now said they were on the fence. One who previously leaned toward Kerry said she would cast a protest vote for Ralph Nader or Ross Perot....
