Oil prices a catch-22 for Republicans?

If prices go up they might say that it's the fact that we haven't passed a Energy Policy. (the problem is the GOP has controlled all branches of Government the last two years.)

If the Saudis lower prices Dems can point out how close Bush is to the Saudis.

2. Before the invasion of Iraq...

...my brother was one of those 'kick their ass and steal their gas' types. He knew Bush was invading for their oil, but was okay with it (....my brother and I don't speak very much...).

I warned him, "They might be able to conquer Iraq, but they'll never be able to keep it. Mark my words, oil will become a LOT more expensive after they invade."

I hope my pre-invasion warnings still ring in his ears...
