http://www.sbgi.net

"We welcome your comments regarding the upcoming special news event featuring the topic of Americans held as prisoners of war in Vietnam. The program has not been videotaped and the exact format of this unscripted event has not been finalized. Characterizations regarding the content are premature and are based on ill-informed sources.

Massachusetts Senator John Kerry has been invited to participate. You can urge him to appear by calling his Washington, D.C. campaign headquarters at ... "

They are airing "Stolen Honor" which HAS BEEN MADE/VIDEOTAPED. In fact, you can order it here:

What does this LIE say about the *cough* integrity of this company? And, will their share holders appreciate such a thing?

Also, are their legal ramifactions about them lying to their shareholders and the public about this?

10. Here's my reply
So this story at CNN is incorrect?

http://money.cnn.com/2004/10/11/news/newsmakers/sinclair_kerry/index.htm?cnn=yes

So CNN is ill informed as is the L.A. Times? Has President Bush been
invited to defend his Air National Guard record?

11. Our Governor Joe Kernan was a Vietnam POW
If he had any issue with Kerry, as the people behind "Stolen Honor" claim to have, he would have said so a long time ago.

Kernan supports Kerry!

12. They are trying to intimate that the showing of the movie is the news
They are listing this as a news show and the showing of the movie is the news event. They have not determined how they will discuss the newsworthiness of showing the movie which by itself is not news at all but propaganda. They spin such webs of deceit.

13. Mark Hyman
But given his numbers and Sinclair's smallish size, Hyman – a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer who is now a captain in the naval reserve – is sort of like the Fox News Channel versus CNN: Fox isn't in every market like CNN, but routinely outpaces the Atlanta-based network founded by Ted Turner.

...

"He's interesting and fun to watch, somewhat refreshing in his approach to things - in the sense that not all original thoughts originate in Washington. I like that," John Bilotta, a media relations consultant with government clients, told the Sun.

Bilotta met, got to know and became friends with Hyman when the latter was a foreign correspondent for United Press International in London in the late 1980s, the Sun reported.

....

"We're not our here to be provocateurs or anything, but if we're not making a difference one way or the other, why do it?" Carl Gottlieb, who joined Sinclair in 2002 from the Project for Excellence in Journalism, a Washington-based think tank, told the Sun regarding another of Hyman's broadcasts, "a highly stylized format of fast-paced news laced with edgy takes on politics and popular culture" called News Central.
