What if ANYBODY who is outraged about it agreed to switch on the heaviest electrical appliances during the show ? Causing a national blackout, or at least several local blackouts ? Has anybody ever thought of that kind of protest ? If roughly 50% of the voters do that, would it produce a blackout ?...

1. Wouldn't that be like ... |
|
protesting the high price of gas by siphoning everything in your gas tank onto the ground ?
I do not think you can cause a blackout like that.
Perhaps if we got everyone to flush their toilets at the same time, something cool would happen.

2. The idea is to cause blackouts |
|
so the news would be full of those news plus many people could not watch anything. I suspect that if 50% of the population turn on their air conditioners to max as well as all their appliances, there would not be enough juice to go around for all...

3. Turn everything on, leave it on for 15 minutes, then... |
|
...turn it all off at once.
Hilarity ensues.
