If they are really interested they would do that...

8. I'd say, no new taxes for middle class, a point by point plan for Iraq, |
|
free use of stem cell research, full funding for NCLB and a roll back on tax breaks for the wealthy.

9. In a word . . . .COMPETENCE |
|
Sure, Bush says he'll do the same things Kerry wants to do in Iraq. But he's screwed up everything else in Iraq. Sure, Kerry may be untested. But Bush has been tested repeatedly -- and he's failed each time.
Saying you have a plan and EXECUTING a plan are two very different things. And even if their plans are similar, Bush has already shown that he can't implement is. So let's give Kerry a chance.

30. I would be suspicious of what they're implying. |
|
To ask "what's his plan" without ANY specific focal point sounds like they're trying to imply he has no plan.
send them to johnkerry.com, if they're sincere they'll go
Asking such a sweeping question such as that is a set-up. If they asked a specific question, then they're sincere.
Now, IF they can be specific rather than asking you to rattle off presumably ALL his plans then you should be able to help them, no? You are aware of John Kerrys plans, I pressume? If not you have work to do.

22. I'd say it's an excellent topic |
|
Those of us working to convince fence-sitters to join Kerry need to be well-versed. Often times questions are presented to us and, in the absence of rehearsal, we can't answer them adequately for those seriously interested potentially missing out on the opportunity to make a solid conversion. Posing questions to one another here can help each person think through their repsonses so, in the field, they'll be fully equipped to respond.
Thanks for the original post. I'll think it through but like some of the previous suggestions.

31. Are you completely unaware of John Kerrys' plans? Seriously? |
|
Are you starting to see why I said this is a dumb question?
Freerepulsives would link to a topic like this and cackle "SEE!!! Even DUmmies don't know Kerrys' plan!"
Come on, do some research.

19. set us back on track as a great world power others respect |
|
and admire. a plan to create more good paying jobs--not strip $$$ from average joe and get them into the bank accounts of already too rich families and corporations
a plan to deal with the terror threat in the way it SHOULD have been dealt with (comprenhensive police action, military and surgical strikes where necessary, and the all-important foreign aid to help impoverished and unstable societies).
a plan to get our kids better educated and get more of them through higher education to create a stronger healthier America.
I can tell them all of those things.
But can I tell them HOW he will do that? HELL NO. I'm not a beauraucrat or policy wonk. But I know from what he's accomplished before and the leaders he will gather around him....they can really make it happen and WANT to make it happen.
Bush doesn't really want any of those things and sometimes looks pained to act as if he wants them.

...punishing children for choosing the wrong parents.
Stop letting them get sick because their parents make too little. Stop sending them to shit schools because their parents live in the worng town. Stop shredding their Constitution because their parents are afraid. Stop drafting them because their parents want someone to pay for 9/11.
Stop bombing them because their parents live in Iraq, pray to Allah, and sit on an ocean of oil.

John Kerry has a plan to win the peace in Iraq, build and involve a true coalition, transition real autonomy to the Iraqis and bring our troops home when the job is completed successfully.

24. Get us back on track. |
|
Restore responsibility to our fiscal policy, so our grandkids aren't saddled with the interest on our debts. "Borrow and spend" is VERY expensive.
Restore focus to the middle and (so-called) 'lower' classes, rather than more digits in the portfolios of the wealthy. (Healthcare, education, military personnel, urban renewal, first responders, etc.)
Restore sanity to our foreign policy so we're respected in the world again, so that we're able to remain a leader in the world, so we're no longer hated around the globe.
That's a start most people can understand.

get us back on track. we aren't turning a corner...we're headed over a cliff at about 50mph like Thelma and Louise.
time for us to put the brakes on, kick the psycho out of the driver's seat and do a 180...head back to reality.
