The Sinclair deal makes me very happy |
|
since it shows how desperate Republicans are because they know that Bush is in trouble and they know Kerry is going to win this election. That's such a desperate move and it looks terrible for them!
They have to actually force the documentary down people's throat and the way they are going about it is so sleazy that only people who are diehard Bush voters are going to "fall for it". I believe normal folk are stupid not to see through the sleaze.
I'm glad this is happening and I hope Kerry uses this as an example to show how Bush supporters are desperate.
I'm not worried about this and I don't think anybody should be worried about this crap. But we should fight back to hurt Sinclair (financially) for being such an evil propagandist organization.
I can't believe that what they are doing is legal. That's the kind of shit you see in dictatorships.

all they can try and do is whip up their base & try and get them to vote.
But their base is insufficient for them to win.

no avoiding this debacle as some have suggested. I don't really care what role KKKarl played at this point. It is in our ballpark now and we can be active about it. The ball has been pitched, one way or another.
The Moon connection is important. Considering the strong Religious Right base, the connection to Moon should be made clear because, if anything, he has the values of the Anti-Christ. Right-wingers may want to play deaf mute to that fact, but his money and influence are coming up more and more. Do they care? Would they want to know? I can't say. But it needs to get more attention. Christians for Moon? Well, not sincere, devout Christians. I smell a schism here.
Financially, the Sinclair debacle is going to be interesting. Is the company going to forsake its shareholders, profits, and credibility for its political views? Well, they are very brave to do so, I must say.
Since big money and major corps have been calling the shots and molding and deforming our Democracy for so long, this is a great playing field. I am going to watch the SGBI ticker tomorrow, and I will be writing and calling the advertisers to ask them if I have to see their company's and products as a political endorsement.
I have many friends who will be happy to participate in this new playground. It is an activist's dream come true. We are on a new frontier.

I have always been afraid that the Moon thing is too creepy for most Americans to address. I would love to see it front page news, though. If this brings it into the open I would be thrilled. As for finances, I would be happy to see the people's money, as opposed to the corporations', be the catalyst in this situation. And the press is picking up on it fast, and the whole thing stinks bad enough... This could very well turn itself around and bite BushCo in its stinky ass.
