Dems take lead in voter registrations in NV.
Downtown Hound pointed this out to me. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=172&topic_id=2708&mesg_id=2722&page=

He was right.

The dems had a 13K voter disagvantage in January. They were up by 1000 in August.

Also the dems had a 2000 voter disadvantage in the 3rd CD last January. Now they have a 2800 voter advantage. Their current congressman is a Republican. Representative Jon C. Porter (R-NV 3rd)

I wonder if we can take that seat. Have a look at the numbers.

1. Those are not
accurate numbers. If you check out the Nevada SOS page, it says: "Close of registration for the General Election: October 2, 2004, if you register to vote by mail. October 12, 2004, if you register to vote in person."

The august numbers were the registration totals for the primary elections.

2. It doesn't matter- either slightly ahead or behind it doesn't matter.
At this point, (and there is plenty of reason) we just have to convince a majority of Nevadans that Kerry is their man.
What is Reid doing to help out?

3. Just say Yucca Mountain ---
I can't believe Nevada will go for Bush after his major Yucca Mountain flip flop.

4. This is a topic that was covered here some time ago
DEMS have passed GOPS in registration in Nevada for the first time in July or so and now moving farther ahead. Simple fact. There was much info on this about a month ago but I have not recovered it. A Google news search should do it for those who doubt.
