Hey Pat, your Republican bias is showing.
What foxhole in VietNam were you in Pat? This "discussion" is so one-sided, it's sickening (Buchanon subbing for Scarborough).

1. Don't be knocking Buchanan, too much
I agree with quite a bit of what he says...esp. in regards to the neocons and their chickenhawk ideology.

But, then again, I am a Republican for Kerry. :)

3. I actually respect Pat as well.
I feel he is a principled, old-style True Conservative. I agree with him on trade issues, and I agree with him on the war. I've read a couple of his books, including "The Death of the West" and "A Republic- Not an Empire". I heartily recommend the latter to anyone on this board. There's a tremendous amount of history and an interesting perspective on that history.

Plus, wouldn't it be cool if he turned out to be Deep Throat? lol

11. Pat dislikes the Neocons because the most famous ones are Jews
Fuck Patty Patty Buch Buch and his racist, misogynistic, caveman ass.

12. I really don't see him as a racist.
I suppose I can see how he can be characterized as such, but he really doesn't come across that way when you hear him speak or read his stuff. Maybe it's just perception. I don't want to think of him as a racist, and I can't believe he doesn't like all Jews, or all blacks...I just don't see it.

14. Problem with Pat is that he was part of Nixon
It isn't that everything he does is republican, but Pat was with Nixon and was against Kerry from the start. That is the Biased view with Pat because he was part of the government.

4. Well you should have seen his angry nasty misrepresentation
of a true American hero. Thank goodness he showed a clip of the Texans for Truth ad. Too bad this ad doesn't get more play nationally.

5. How much is too much...

when it comes to a raging anti-semite, racist and homophobe like Pat Buchanon?

Exactly how can anyone 'knock' that man too much? Are we to ignore his incredible, glaring problems just because he says he doesn't much care for neocons? Not likely.

6. Pat has one thing going for him
He is a major racist, but he does have a single redeeming factor: he thinks weecowboy is an insane retard. He is ordered to take the GOP side, even though he thinks most of the GOP are a bunch of insane, moneygrubbing corporate pigs. The reason for this is that most people realize only one thing about him--he is not a Democrat.

to legislate my bedroom and reproductive rights. I thought Republicans wanted less government in peoples lives?

So far as I can see, this Republican party wants to cut taxes for their upper middle class and above base, reward giant corporations that support them, inflate and distort "intelligence" to justify sick world domination theories and exploit fear while ignoring real safety measures. They prefer to ignore the pursuit of science to benefit all humanity in favor of pandering to an ill-informed fundimentalist constituency with inconsistent policies and illogical positions. Pat Buchanan would, given his way, arrest and/or convert my gay neighbors and take their children away, destroying the quiet harmony they have enjoyed. Pat Buchanan would deny my right to an abortion even if my VERY LIFE were in danger. He would force a 17 year old girl to get permission from the very guardian that raped her to terminate any resulting pregnancy or still better yet, condemn her to carry the spawn and ruin her young body and spirit to give it birth.

There are things Pat has said that I agree with, but you know, if you give 10,000 monkeys a crayon and a multiple choice civics test one of them may pass too.

*edited to change evangelical to fundamentalist, which is more accurate.

10. Well stated.
He and Dobson were having a pretty cozy chat about Christian certitude in US policy, no?

Buchanan has been whoring Bush, non-stop, size the 2nd debate. I suspect that, as bad as he hates some of the neo-con policies, he likes the status-quo and will support Bush because of his Opus Dei fascist ideas.

16. Yah he's a real jerk
but at least, in this instance anyhow, to stand up to the majority of his party and tell it like it is regarding neo-con's!

Republicans used to stand for guardedness in our foreign affaires, Low Taxes and Small Government.

Chimpy has done nothing but "Nation Build" (a failure), pass tax cuts for the very rich, ONLY signing a middle class tax relief bill last week (mind you while waging WAR!); and the Bush Government is so free with BILLIONS that even the DEMOCRATS are calling for a smaller government!

NOW THAT makes ya THINK! LMAO
