4. Yes, Burr is resorting to the typical Republican scare tactics

of associating Bowles with Bill Clinton in all his ads. The newest one even says Bowles and Clinton cut the defense budget to allow the terrorists we were fighting to attack the U.S. It's nothing but more of the same Republican bullshit scare tactics mixed with half-truths and out-and-out lies to appeal to the ignorant Jesse Helms red-neck voters. Saddest part is that it's working and unelss something is done fast, Bowles will lose yet another Senate battle to a right-wing liar.

3. I watched their debate on Cspan this weekend.

Burr looks and sounds like a televangelist.

Bowles sounded like a senator. Bowles has been a businessman and a bureaucrat (and, of course, both deputy chief of staff and chief of staff for the Big Dog) ... his father and sister died of ALS (Lou Gehrig's), so he and his wife helped found an ALS center. He's done all kinds of nonprofit work.

AND ... as White House Chief of Staff, he took a salary of only $1 a year!!! Compare that with those bastards we have in the Bush Admin, who care about nothing but MONEY!

I've recently seen some Bowles ads so I think he is going on the defensive. Bowles new ads is basically saying that Burr is a flipflopper.

Its going to be tight, but Bowles will come out of it smelling like roses.
