7-11 Kerry cups!
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 03:03 AM by depakote_kid
If you're ever running late and have to grab some coffee at 7-11, then be sure to look for these (the clerk said they're going fast... unlike the Bush cups).

1. Finally an excuse to go to 7-11
the cups will be will be computer tracked, it's worth going to that crap haven to get the rancid coffee if it shows the bozos that buy the Bush Booger Jerky that they are going to be very sore loosers till they realize how duped they were.

3. See the daily results here... (link)
7-11 has a website which will show the results, updated daily, on who has puchased what... They also have Third Party/No Opinion cups, apparently. Still no numbers for my state, though... it looks to be one of the only ones with no data. Argh.

https://web.7-connect.com/7-Election/

(no idea why they decided to link it with SSL... but whatever)

4. That's interesting-

I didn't realize the marketing scheme was so elaborate, and the clerk didn't say anything about that. Naive me just figured they had new cups, kind of like they might for Christmas season.

7. They even tell you where the closest
store is. The closest 7-11 is not exactly around the corner, but I'll get a cup tomorrow. They better not be out of them.

5. The poll results are weird-
almost 60% "no opinion". Are they in ALL 7/11s? I can drink that swill for 3 weeks easily.

11. I think that must be what they mean by "no opinion"
Those people didn't pick either candidate's cup, instead they picked the generic one. At least that's what I assumed.

8. odd results...
Their state tally shows Bush outselling Kerry in California, and Kerry outselling Bush in Kansas.

10. hahahaha this stupid marketing ploy is working on so many people
I mean, if you're at 7-11 anyway, pick up the appropriate cup. But to go there just to get the cup?

Best promotion since McD's Monopoly

12. Reminds me of the '92 1-900 poll.

The results of that poll taken a week before the '92 election showed that 90% of the people stupid enough to pay money to vote in a meaningless poll supported Perot. Bush picked up about 8% with Clinton coming in a distant third.

Who knows? Maybe it did help some last seconds make up their minds. "Clinton appears to be less appealing to stupid people, so I think I'll vote for him."
