The Sunday NY Times article on Kerry |
|
Have you read it? I read it and even though I already KNOW Kerry is a smart guy and a superior candidate, after that article I am so convinced we NEED him as President, I almost think he's our only hope. He has such a deeper understanding of terrorism and international politics than Bush does.
Really it almost made me sad to think that the rest of the country doesn't see him for what he is, and we have to fight this fierce battle against an incompetent who didn't even legitimately win in the first place and has now totally screwed up the country....:(

I haven't read it and it sounds like something I'd like to share with a few friends.

6. I read it and really agree with the concept of law enforcement vs. war |
|
I think Kerry is on the right track with his thinking, that you can't wage war against other countries to eliminate terrorism, you have to police the world better.
Could you stop gangs by bombing the cities where they live?
Every innocent civilian who has been killed creates 10 people who hate us, and factors of ten can build VERY quickly. And obviously blind hatred is what terrorism is all about.
bush is going to leave us in a deep hole.

7. This was Clinton's take on terrorism as well |
|
When the Retard/Asshole regime took control in 2001, they thought Clinton was overly obsessed with Osama bin Ladin, Al Quaeda and terrorism, ignored his security briefing papers and generally dropped the ball.

8. Thanks for the link. I don't think it was that complimentary |
|
myself. The author seemed to keep trying to paint him as a nuanced character. That's the best word to describe my feeling. Yes the article pointed out his major Senate bills, etc., but I was bothered by the endless comparisons to Bush throughout the entire article. Also how "astonished" the author was about Kerry not being changed by 9/11 and his comments about terrorism becoming a "nuisance". The article started off nice though with the description of Kerry walking calmly down the Capital steps, but went downhill pretty much from there.
