2. Dean started it
Dean started this whole thing by calling his fellow Democrats "Republicans" in so many words. That is the centerpiece of his campaign for God's sake!

Dean has pissed a lot of people off over what they see as unfair and scurrilous attacks.

The chickens are coming home to roost Mr. Dean!

5. From your header, I thought you were making a joke
Howard Dean does not visit this message board, to the best of my knowledge.

10. I am not talking about who started what
and neither is this thread. Thats the whole point of my post and Ruckys post.
As for the "substance" of YOUR post... I think the first part is debatable and the second part remains to be seen.

9. Gep doesn't have a chance
and is ruining it for the Dems in 2004. He had his shot in '88, he's washed up as presidential material, and voters know it...

3. Tonight is out of control...I don't want to get deleted, but
where are the mods?

Me thinks there aren't any on duty. I'm a little upset, but what can you do? Nothing has been locked over the last 4 hours, which leads me to believe there is no one on duty....

4. I don't think any are around either..........
Either that or they gave up tonight. Or their computers burst into flames.

7. You're probably right, but
looking at the popularity of answer #2 I venture there's some guilt trip making light going on.

I also note that the flaming has at least temporarily lulled.

I'll take a rare whacky evening if it lets the fumes out.

Seen more than plenty blind flaming going on.

12. It's 3:10 AM
maybe they assumed that instead of staying up all night kicking each other in the crotch we would try to get some sleep. Once again the GD 2004 forum is a parade ground of dedication and iron will.

16. I felt sorry for the red bar, so I voted to make it bigger. Answer is BOTH
Look, it's probably about 30-40% flameage, which is a shame. But it's not only that. I've seen lots of informative stuff on this board too. And it's more informative--even the passionate arguments--than it is destructive.

I remain totally unworried about the Democrats coming together after Boston. This garbage is still pretty much par for the course. We can take much worse than this. 1992 was far and away nastier than this. We'll survive and, God willing, prevail in November. In the meantime, I suggest working FOR your own candidates and not AGAINST someone else's.
