Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean will speak at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 in Millett Hall as the headline event for the College Democrats’ Progressive Week.

"An Evening with Howard Dean" is free but tickets are required and available at the Shriver Box Office.

"Howard Dean’s importance in shaping the 2004 election is extraordinary," College Democrats’ President Thad Driscoll said. "He’s affected the Democratic Party; he’s affected how Kerry has handled himself and how Bush has handled himself. He will be a great insight into the 2004 election process."

SNIP.."I think it will benefit Miami students because we have noticed by our growing attendance at meetings — we have over 100 people at meetings — that the liberal population has either grown or come out of the woodworks for this election," Smith said...."
