Were you aware that Bush is SLAMMING Kerry?
I heard this first thing Saturday morning on CNN-Fredricka Whitfield said that ~"Fresh off his latest debate performance President Bush is SLAMMING John Kerry on....." Emphasis not added.

This morning dear Katie Couric said it twice within 5 minutes as she set up the Carville W spokesman yelling match.

So I decided to google -Bush slams Kerry- and found this (some are subscription required so check it out for yourself)

1. So, according to the media
Next time someone makes me look like a complete ass, and I come back with a stumbling, butchered line that is completely irrelvant and off topic, I can consider myself as having "slammed" them?

17. Yes
wait until the other guy leaves the room (or run away as W did Friday night) and then surround yourself with admirers and declare victory.

the FCC regarding the report of Bush slamming. I wouldn't want Bush to be my long distance provider.

15. He can "slam" all he wants.

Bush should be touting his own record instead of trying
to destroy his opponent.

That tells me all I need to know.

20. Welcome to DU Shadow30
:hi:

The analogy was made here a week or so ago of a kid saying "Well I was gonna beat that guy up..." "..if he was still here...."after the guy had left. It's about the same.

21. Sounds like that's going to backfire, too
since Shrub is being ripped to shreds about being "too angry". Let them say what they want - the public now knows he's angry and his "slamming" is just more fuel on the fire.

It is, however, a remarkable testament to the RW talking points...

23. Anybody who says we have an Independant Media in Imperial Amerika
That person is a blad-faced liar.

What we have is new and grotesque, Orwell on acid, yet functionally it is identical to Soviet Pravda, the Nazi News Media or the Chinese Communist Media.

The coercion tactics needed to get us there are not nearly s ham-fisted because Imperial Subjects just roll right over and give it up.

Article about the Anger factor in the bush campaing from the Guradian
The madness of George
The evolution of George Bush's persona over the past few weeks is startling for even the most casual observers. Only a short while ago, Bush was a strong, decisive leader and Kerry was a weak, flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal. The Bush campaign expected those images to carry them through the November elections...

...Bush's political operators have worked overtime to make "angry" a pejorative term this political cycle. They wielded the "too angry" attack against Howard Dean in the primaries, when it seemed Dean would be the Democratic nominee, and it helped destroy Dean's candidacy. Republicans again shouted "too angry" to discredit Al Gore's series of impassioned anti-Bush speeches earlier this year.

The "too angry" claims successfully marginalised the content of those speeches - blistering indictments of an incompetent administration...
...After his first debate performance, Bush was in a quandary. He had to stem his erosion in the polls, but to do so would require attacking Kerry and furthering the perception that he was too angry to be president.

So how did he respond? By getting even more angry. He not only viciously attacked Kerry but also took out the moderator and several questioners in the process. Someone, somewhere, labelled Bush Furious George - a clever turn on HA Rey's Curious George children's books and an appellation that took firm hold in the online and, increasingly, offline worlds...
