What IS it about Mass. that offends you Mr. President? |
|
This whole "liberal Senator from Massachusetts" is really wearing on my nerves. I wish Kerry would confront Bush and ask him "Just what, Mr. President, is it about Massachusetts that offends you? You said you were the President of the whole country. Did you only mean 49 states? It seems to me the last Senator from Massachusetts to sit in the WH was a much beloved President to both parties!! Does John F. Kennedy ring a bell, Mr. President?" Why does the media and the party allow him to bash New England the way he does? God knows he spent over half his life there!!

I live in Maine and visit Massachusetts all the time. It is a wonderful state and very beautiful.
I agree, the guy has done nothing but bash blue states from the start and everybody lets him get away with it. He is a poor excuse for a human being, let alone a "president."

15. Remember how Bush Sr. and * made snotty comments about |
|
hot tub liberals? There is a hot tub store in Scarborough, Maine with a picture of Bush Sr. and the giant hot tub he bought there. And he also bought a big Swedish sauna there. Typical hypocrites.

5. Oh No................... |

Bush is from TEXAS! He's a good old Southern boy who deosn't trust those Yankee tax and spend libruls. He's got a pick up truck and clears brush from his ranch. His ranch in TEXAS! He wears Cowboy Boots (I've seen them, they're in the Hall of Presidents at Disney World). He wears a Cowboy Hat and a Big Belt Buckle. A Big Belt Buckle that says "TEXAS" on it.
I know what you mean. He spent most of his life in Kennebunkport, but they had to manufacture a "folksy, common man" for a Presidential run. They could have found a better candidate than Bush, but for some reason, (probably because he can be easily molded) they chose him. He's as much a Texan as I am a New Guinea Head Hunter.

8. As a lifelong Masshole i'm really tired |
|
of Massachusetts bashing. I was born in raised in Medford Ma and lived there until i was 30, we moved to Texas for 2 years and now live in northern california and i still hear people joke about Massachusetts and it still pisses me off. Whenever someone gives me shit about Mass i always ask them if they have ever even been there, most of the time the answer is no, at which point i tell them their ignorance is showing.

born, moved away when I wasn't even a year. Moved back after grad school, and lived there for 7 years before I moved back to PA. I'm a Pennsylvanian and a Pittsburgher.
I loathed my time in Massachusettes. I hated Boston. I hated it's traffic. I hated it's insanely high prices. I hated it's rude people. I hated it's obnoxious sports fans who would throw beer on me simply for showing up in a Pittsburgh jersey. I hated so much stuff it's beyond compare.
With that said.
1) Can I say Masshole since I was born and lived there?
2) Can I say that Bush is wicked retahded because for all it's faults it's still a great place to visit and live(if you like that sort of thing), and that the people there are FAR more informed overall than any of the other places I've lived or visited in this country (including Texas, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts)

18. it is a code word people! |
|
A typical code-word from your neighborhood Nazi ghoul, the right winger.
"Massachusetts" = long haired hippy people, who burn draft cards and bras. The hippies also are pinko-commies and they spit on veterans. It also means the "intellectual elite"
and/or
"Massachusetts" = "taxachusetts" = "raising taxes, bloated government, and run away spending on liberal topics, such as 'welfare queens'"
The use depends on the context.
He's gone back to "tax and spend liberal" attacks because they are desperate to turn the polls around and there will be no 'terra alert' to save them nor a HVT.
Chimpy is scared because now he has to work at keeping his job!

I can't stand how Chimp divides people by region and disses New England, especially Massachussetts. It's a very proud part of American history!!

24. A guy on the plane asked me if Boston was America the other day |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 01:44 PM by RationalRose
Sitting next to me on the plane.
Him: where are you from?
Me: Bawsten
Him: Is that in America?
Me (opening up a can of whoop ass): As the matter of fact it's the cradle of liberty. If it weren't for a bunch of us Boston people, we'd all be speaking with a British accent. It's where the country began. And I understand that your reply is a Fox News talking point.
I proceeded to read my Kitty Kelley book the rest of the flight.

I hate the fact that he bashes the Bay State so much. You would think it would give pause to Scumbag Greaseball Romney, but I guess not. Dumbya has Yale and Harvard degrees, summers in Connecticut, and vacations in Maine! He has no right to bash New England the way he does! We're home to the Patriots and Red Sox, for chrissakes.
