Why your vote matters in the assumed Kerry states
I live in California and I assume I will know the outcome in some of the swing states before the polls close. My nightmare scenario is that many of us are celebrating a win only to learn we lost California, and the election, because Dems didn't vote. We have to win our states and get the Dems out to vote. The swing states are important only if we secure our other states. Get out the vote and please vote early!!!

1. 1) The bigger the margin
the more Kerry can do -- bigger mandate.

2) Vote a straight Democratic tickek. Your vote may make the difference for a condidate for congress or dogcatcher, and kerry needs all the help he can get.

2. but don't check the "straight dem" line
vote for each individually. At least here, there have been questions about the straight line party votes not functioning correctly.

3. Agreed. I'm voting for sure.
And it matters because the total popular vote matters.

6. I live in a very democratic part of a very democratic state
and believe me nothing, not natural disasters, not code red terror alerts, not rabid dogs, not rogue sasquatch, NOTHING will keep me from going to that voting booth and feeling joy course through my veins as I vote against every republican on the ticket.

7. another reason:
When Kerry wins the electoral, and he will, we also want him to have won the popular. It needs to be THAT decisive.
