Anyone ever think about Syphilis?

Over the weekend, the History Channel aired this special entitled, "High Hitler".

Seems Hitler was an full blown drug addict.

He abused speed, coke, just to name a couple drugs.

He also had his personal physician shoot him up with "peasant feces" (don't ask me why).

Anyway, the show included shots of Hitler in unguarded moments -- you ever notice how he always kept his left hand at his side or behind his back, always with something in it -- sorta like Bob Dole.

His had shook most noticeably -- like he suffered from Parkinson's.

Another theory was introduced that it was syphilis that had so ravaged his mind and body. His poor war planning and execution was used as an example, as syphilis destroys the brain and decision making processes.

Every time I hear Furious George yelling, "stay the course", I think about Hitler's asshole decisions (Normandy invasion, disastrous invasion of Russia). Hitler was all about staying the course, too. He was completely divorced from reality.

And Furious was pretty out there in the 70's.

Not to say that he is exactly stupid, but he doesn't believe in using the limited intelligence he was born with. If you don't use an organ it eventually atrophies. And his mental disturbances are being aggravated by being confronted (probably for the first time in his life) with real dissaproval and critisicm.

I think that 90% or more of his symptoms can be explained simply by his worsening mental state.

And past and present drug and alcohol use/abuse. I definately think he is on something now to control his behavior, and that it hard for his handlers to get the dosage right under different circumstances, and *s swinging moods.
