Campaign donor's list - is this correct?
I've been told that this site is "accurate"...

http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.asp?order=A

Is the info in that link correct? There seems to be a LOT more "blue" there than "red". How is it that GWB has so much more $$ than Kerry? Is it just that a lot more "individuals" donate to him, or what?

1. The idiot has many more wealthy donors
those that have a LOT to lose if he is not reelected.

2. It's correct
There are thousands of other big-money groups throwing money at Republicans, and they have numerous $2000 individual donors. Also that chart is based on donations to ALL GOP or Dem candidates, not just Prez.

3. Probably 101 thru 999 would be much more (R)
Because of Bush's incredible to UNITE (Democrats), Kerry got a boatload of money this year. If Bush wasn't such a great UNITER, it probably would have been more lopside for the (R) candiate.

http://www.opensecrets.org/presidential/index.asp

Totals:

George W. Bush (R)
$338,315,189

John Kerry (D)
$311,146,688

4. It's based on Federal Elections Commission data, pretty accurate
as far as I'm aware.

The discrepency comes from how much is given in each donation and the fact that the Pukers have more extremely wealthy private donors.

5. just yesterday and today, i've noticed the right-wing pungents have been
overtly and repeatedly protesting that democrats and republicans have raised
the same amount of contributions, which is, what else, a lie!

in other words... b*llsh*t!

i immediately went to www.johnkerry.com and donated! keep it up, pukes, tis very motivating! :silly:

6. Most Blue are Labor Unions and Associations, while Reds are
mostly corporations, which probably have more money to throw to the Repugs. The one that surprised me was Walt Disney, would have thought they'd be big Repug contributors.
