Question for Kentucky DU'ers
I haven't followed the Kentucky Senate race much, but I read an article on Salon.com that said that Jim Bunning is crazier that a shithouse rat.

Is there any hope that Kentucky voters might come to their senses and cut him loose?

By the way, isn't Kentucky the state that Nick Clooney is running for the House of Representatives?

How is he doing so far?

1. Bunning...
Bunning has gone insane. Seriously. He refuses to debate Mongiardo, but he finally did one debate yesterday, in which it is believed that he read part of his points from a script. I haven't seen the debate yet, but supposedly, the ABC affiliate here (WHAS) will be airing it Thursday night at 9 PM. Bunning has not spoken to the media at all lately, and won't even give his campaign schedules to the media. You would think a candidate would want the media to have his schedule. Also, Bunning refuses to be on any stage with Mongiardo (which is probably why Bunning chose to debate from DC and said he wouldn't do the debate if Mongiardo came to DC to debate with him, insisting that Mongiardo stay in KY to debate while he debates from DC via satellite). Yes, Bunning has lost it, but did he ever HAVE it? A new poll released by the Mongiardo campaign has Mongiardo only 6 points behind Bunning, but even more telling is that Mongiardo is WAY ahead among people familiar with BOTH candidates. Unfortunately, I still believe Bunning has the advantage, but who knows?

As far as Clooney is concerned, I really don't know exactly how his campaign is going, but I believe he is ahead. Am I mistaken?

2. he's been crazy
if you ask me. there is a RUMOR going around that he is in early stages of alzheimer's. there has been a lot of talk i think, mostly fueled by the fact, he wont release his medical records. in the congressional race, i dont know how to call it. this is my district, and i, of course, am voting for nick. but this is a heavy re-puke district. nick had a debate scheduled for tonite, but it was cancelled due to his son in laws untimely, and unexpected death this weekend due to a heart attack at the age of 48. nick has one daughter, and of course his son is george clooney. i believe nicks daughter has two kids by the man who passed.
