It's the misleading, stupid (A few paragraphs for the swing voters)
Edited on Tue Oct-12-04 09:02 PM by JPJones
Why should you not vote for George W. Bush?

Because you were horribly mislead.

Given the choice between the inconvenient truth and distorting
the truth, the Bush Administration will without a doubt choose
to distort the truth. Want evidence? How about this quote
from the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Paul Wolfowitz,
"The truth is that for reasons that have a lot to do with
the U.S. government bureaucracy we settled on the one issue
that everyone could agree on which was weapons of mass
destruction as the core reason ...".

What then was the real reason for the war in Iraq?
Connections between Saddam Hussein and Al Queda? "[The]
issue about links to terrorism is the one about which there's
the most disagreement within the bureaucracy...".

Saddam's abuse of his own people? "[This] is a reason to
help the Iraqis but it's not a reason to put American kids'
lives at risk, certainly not on the scale we did it".

The real reason, "...it undoubtedly was true that if we
could make progress on the Israeli-Palestinian issue we would
provide a better set of circumstances to deal with Saddam
Hussein, but that it was equally true the other way around
that if we could deal with Saddam Hussein it would provide a
better set of circumstances for dealing with the Arab-Israeli
issue."

Is this the first time you've heard this? It's because you
were misled. What else will four more years of the Bush
Administration mislead us into?

1. America is **NOT** safer!

Osama Bin Laden, still at large.

The Iraq war has not made America any safer. It has cost hundreds of billions of dollars, thousands of lives, it has sadly divided our nation in two, and has also taken focus away from our own socioeconomic problems.

Bush does not address these issues, because he can't! So instead, we have to bear an obnoxious, baby-like campaign of name calling and false accusation to try to discredit a fine man, John Kerry.

Face the facts - Bush* has failed us!

Things you have to believe to be a Republican today:

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense.

A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.
