My God. Amazing, amazing documentary.

Take that, Sinclair - you rank amateurs.

That's how it's done.

more fair to Gore four years ago.

I wonder if the same people produced this one.

4. THANK GOODNESS
I recorded it! and I'm going to send it to my brother-in-law, who still needs to see the error of his voting ways.

No, it wasn't the bombastic bush-slamming flick that we all adore - this was balanced and methodical. Simply showing the history of each man, but managing to intertwine them, so the parallels (or lack thereof) were quite clear.

Amazing, as we all expect from Frontline.

6. Isn't it amazing?
Kerry's and the chimp's biographies side by side. What a dramatic contrast.

What scared me was Bush never has any doubt about any of his decisions. When his friend called him the morning Karla Faye was going to be executed, his friend asked Bush how he was doing and that he must have been up all night and agonizing over his decision to let this woman be executed (I'm paraphrasing). Bush said, "Nope. Not at all."

No doubts, no agonizing over life and death decisions like executions and the Iraq war.

I don't want someone like that as president for four more years.

pbs.org has most programs on line. Daily show also makes many of its program clips available, as do most of the network evening news programs...

12. Excellent contrast of the two candidates without the spin
But what a difference. What sane person would vote for Bush after seeing that? If they do, they deserve B as president; Kerry will have to clean up after this unbelievably arrogant, incompetent, pigheaded, immoral puppet. I couldn't believe the bit about Ann Richards and the trash that Rove hit her with-he did the same thing to Hightower. And the history of his evangelical whoring...and interestingly, his close association with K Bailey Hutchison (previous news anchor) and Karen Hughes (also previous news anchor)-she probably provided B with the earpiece. How many viewers does PBS draw?

See? When you have an objective program Chimpy comes out as an evil psychopath... I wish they'd spend some time on why kerry voted against the 87M.

Most who haven't seen it and think it was "unfair" will have a very strong (and ironically identical) opinion as Rush Limbaugh's tomorrow.

22. I just saw the exchange in SC, where McCain told Bush he should be ashamed
he told McC to LET ME FINISH at least four times, getting nastier each time.

McCain gave in, and after a bunch of BS from Bush, the narrator cut in, not allowing the full exchange to unfold

they cut back to another nasty clip of Bush pointing at McCain, admonishing him on something, and didn't let one see what McCain's response was. It was a BAD editorial choice there, making Bush seem decisive, aggressive, without allowing one to see what McCain had to say. I'd have YANKED that coward's tie down to the desktop

really infuriating

24. Enjoyed What I Saw...
I missed the first hour, hope to catch it again. Went to pbs.org where they are being ripped for liberal bias. I guess it's hard to say since I am biased myself, but I think it did try to present a fair analysis of both candidates. I think the people who are pissed and see it as biased are the secular Republicans or the religious Conservatives who are overly touchy about their religion. Shoot, Bill Weld was on there & still had sorta nice things to say about Kerry.

Trying to be objective, one thing I would gather about Kerry - he isn't a flip flopper, but I still wouldn't use the word decisive to describe him. I would use thoughtful. For Bush it is reversed.

I don't know, watching the show, I really think Dubya has a messianic complex. It's really scary.

27. My daughter
called me to say she saw this. Although she was planning to vote for Kerry, she kept saying "I cannot connect with him, Mom."
Well, she now connects. She was completely turned off from the Shrub, she said he is a loser, alcoholic and nasty. Kerry is kind, honest and fair. Kerry will be respected internationally. Don't know if Karl Rove was in the film, but she had no kind words for him either. By the way, for all pollsters, she is 24. Another young person for Kerry!
