Zogby's Iowa tracking: Dean and Kerry up a point, no change Gep
Howard Dean leads Dick Gephardt by 26-23 in todays tracking, up from 25-23 yesterday. John Kerry gained a point and is at 16% up from 15%, while John Edwards dropped two-points to 12%. Dennis Kucinich is up a point to 3%. Lieberman and Clark declined a point from 3% to 2% and Sharpton and Braun have 1% each. 14% are ndecided.

Per Zogby:
"...it is a three way race in the western and eastern parts of the state (among Dean, Gep, and Kerry), among self-described liberals, among 35-54 year olds, among previous caucus voters, those with a college education, union members, parents of children living at home those afraid of losing a job in the next year, men, and voters in households earning over $50,000..."

2. Edwards is the story in that poll, IMO
look at Edwards! Up from like 5 % to 12%. A showing like that really could give him some steam going into the south. Watch out for our perfect haired wonder boy!

The DSM register endorsement helped him I think.

3. Gep said the President is a "nice man" and a "smart man"
In this morning's TV coverage of the O'Neil story, that is what Dick Gephardt said. This is in the same segment where the White House was quoted with some scathing attacks on Paul O'Neil such as: "O'Neil's ideas were crazy when he was here, so it is no surprise that they are crazy now" (an inexact quote).
Now to quote the Looney Tunes' bombastic rooster Foghorn Leghorn, "The boy--he just don't get it"
