Need help with a repub re Kerry's votes- are Dems locked out of commitees?

My wonderful bookeeper is a republican. She asked about Kerry's voting record, no doubt because of some Faux spin. I think that since the Rs are in the majority there is pretty much no point in Senator Kerry's wasting his time there, that they have locked us out of committees and been really unAmerican about not allowing our voices to be heard by our Dem representatives and senators. But this is all just intuitive, and I need more concrete examples. Anybody out there have some good resources you could point me to? I think I can win her to our side with fairness and reason, and believe me we should not take any state for granted.

I wouldn't ask before looking first in order not to waste any of your time. I already looked at factcheck.org and mediamatters.com as well as google.
