Anyone have a link to Kerry supporter numbers?
Such as % of supporters who firmly believe in Kerry as a candidate as opposed to the % of them who are members of the Anyone But Bush bandwagon...

I ask b/c this one kid on my local forum wont let up on this "only 38% of Kerry supporters actually support him as apposed to the remainder who just want Bush out of office" every time there a political argument he just posts that, I'd really like to kick him in the teeth, but interweb pwnage will have to be good enough.

TIA

1. Kerry has not served as President so there will be a certain percentage
who vote based on getting rid of Bush.

"if" he wins and gets to be President he will be able to prove himself. but many right now don't know him.

But personally I started as a Anyone but Bush person, and as last year and this progressed and I learned more and more about Kerry I've become a firm believer that this man really believes in what he does and has the stuff to make him a great president, to the point where I can look to this guy and see a person I could strive to be like, and that can't be said for many people. I'm sure there are others like me, I just wanted to see if there were any numbers on this.

4. yeah, there are many like that
i supported Kerry from early on. he was my candidate for the primary so you know how big a supporter i am.

there is evidence that when people actually get a chance to see and learn more about Kerry they are more for the person than just being opposed to Bush. this is seen in his larger crowds he gets and other ways. but i don't have official numbers.

but there are some who don't pay attention to politics as closely as we do. they aren't going to go search out info. for them it's mostly about whether to vote to keep or get rid of the incumbant. that's actually how it always is when one of the candidates is an incumbant.

2. Ask him where he gets his figures...
because I follow polls very closely and I haven't seen anything like that. Kerry ran away with it in the primaries - wasn't even close, so I kind of doubt his figures.

Then tell him that says more about how bad Bush is than it does anything about Kerry.
