it may pre-empt baseball playoffs, people will probably just turn the channel, many Sinclair stations are WB and don't get the highest ratings anyway

2. I have a hard time ...

believing that they will be able to pre-empt a World Series baseball game to show this partisan trash. I expect to see shovels and pitch forks storming Sinclair.

Is the World Series broadcast anywhere else but Fox ? If so WS viewers will arrange to make sure they can see it. Otherwise, I do agree that 90% of the viewers will most likely be the faithful. That means it will have very little effect (like AWOLs chosen audiences).

Cheers

3. That's exactly it, not everyone watches the baseball playoffs.
It's targeted at Security Moms and white women in general who do not watch the baseball playoffs. Lie about Kerry's record, try to paint him as a traitor. I did a little research and came up with the following.

John Kerry is not being honored in Vietnams War Crime Museum! (One of the several lies uttered in Unfit for Command, Stolen Honor, and by Bush supporters).

http://www.vetsagainstkerry.org/Misc/KerryHonoredByCommunists2.htm

The photo that is cited by Bush supporters has the following caption from the above Vets Against Kerry Source.

Mr. Do Muoi, Secretary General of the Vietnam Communist Party met with Congressmen and Veterans Delegation in Vietnam (July 15-18, 1993)
Camarade Do Muoi – Secrétaire General du Parti Communiste du Vietnam – recevait une délégation de Sénateurs et Anciens Vétérans du Vietnam le 18 Juillet 1993
If John Kerry was being honored by the Vietnamese, then why did they not mention him by name? Why is there not an older photo of John Kerry? Could this mean that the communist Vietnamese had no pictures of John Kerry until he showed up in 1993 as a “Congressman” with other congressmen as the above caption describes? If John Kerry’s Senate testimony was the key to winning the war for the Vietnamese, then why not put the words on display?

Then again, why was John Kerry in 1971 during his Senate testimony (http://ice.he.net/~freepnet/kerry/index.php?topic=Testimony) and during his television debate with John O’Neil (http://ice.he.net/~freepnet/kerry/index.php?topic=KerryONeill ) asking the Nixon Administration to get out of Vietnam that very moment on the behalf of the POW’s?

Stolen Honor is aptly titled. The honor that is being stolen is that of John Kerry and the United States Armed Forces by a group of Bush supporters trying to mislead America.

4. that's NOT the point
The corporate media is a the greatest threat to democracy. What Sinclair is doing is an example of what is to come if the media conglomerates are not dealt wih SOON. They must be broken up and regulated in much the same way the telecom industry was. We also need REAL campaign finance reform.

5. The closest Sinclair stations from where I live are in
Cincinnati and Columbus, which I do not receive. Both cities are largely Republican strongholds, especially Cincinnati. So, in Ohio anyway, Sinclair will likely be preaching to the choir.

6. well the downside of trying to get this thing pulled
is that it creates more visibility for the program.. and more wanting to watch just to see what the uproar is about.
