Its a good opinion piece

My Sept. 16 column, "Bush's ideological blinders led to ill-advised war in Iraq," attracted numerous e-mails ...The responses ran 2-to-1 negative...I was informed that I am part of "the pacifist, ivy-covered world of academia," which produces "lies and half-truths" and "corrupts students' minds with politics instead of objectively teaching fact."...But those who assume that the administration's critics are all Democrats or "clueless lefties" are wrong. I'm a registered Republican who twice voted for Bush's father.

It is amazing how consistent the knee jerk responses are that the freeps spew when challenged. Some of the quotes could have been lifted from ltte's that appeared in my local paper in California. How are we to deprogramm these people once we win?

2. LOL . . . yup. amazing, isn't it? to think that old-fashioned

conservatives agree with so-called "liberals" and "lefties" about much of the wrongdoings of this GWBush Administration, from the extraordinarily high and historic depth of the national debt, to the out-of-control flood of spending including pork barrel crap bestowed on America by this radical rightwingnuts now in power in both the White House and in Congress. And George's Iraqi War is none-too-popular! heh.

George Will is one. And the flood of conservative names mounts and spills over. Who woulda thunk? John McCain, Chuck Hagel, Lindsey Graham, John Warner, William F. Buckley, Jr., and then ex-ambassador to Iraq Paul Bremer speaks out!
