What's All This Stuff About Form 180?

My ex-husband (good friend, but rabid bush supporter) has been bugging me about JK not having signed a form 180 which I gather is a form that would disclose all of JK's Navy records. I believe that he has released all materials. In addition,he's claiming that Kerry's honorable discharge wasn't granted until years after his release from the service. Does anyone know how I can counter this? Of course, I've derided bushboy's Texas National Guard stint, but I'd like something a bit more concrete to hit him with.

released from the Kerry file - but which were shown to at least a few reporters.

About 10,000 other pages were released, including all the standard forms you would expect.

The Bush release was a few hundred pages that included Xerox's of newspaper clippings on his Dad being proud of him! Plus cover pages that said nothing, but without the standard forms that you would expect. And he too had the medical papers not released - but shown to a few reporters.

Neither has signed a 180 for total release.

Neither candidate wants their penis size ("normal"?) out there, so they don't sign 180. However, ALL military records have been released by Kerry; the difference between George and John is that ALL OF JOHN'S ARE THERE. He can go to the John Kerry website and see all of the pertinent records right there on line if he would like, but basically its a non-issue. The US Navy has already said John Kerry is a hero (do you need the link?), and if your guy wants to bash them, then he's an idiot. :)

Bush supporters like your ex know that their only hope to win this election is a massive coordinated smear campaign against Kerry using nitpicking unsubstantiated allegations and false innuendos that cannot really be effectively rebutted. They are hypocrites with a double standard since it is Bush's military records that are woefully incomplete and Bush who has not accounted for his whereabouts and failure to take the physical causing his loss of flight status. Can you imagine the outrage if Dems had attempted to use these smear tactics against decorated combat vets such as daddyBush or Bob Dole?.

They cannot defend Bush's actions and character as a young man, or his miserable record in the White House, so all they have left is to twist and spin Kerry's record. I would recommend that you emphasize the fact that Kerry's military records prove he served honorably in combat in Vietnam and was wounded in action and that their attempts to demean and diminish his service are purely politically motivated.

My ex-still an enigma to me- genuinely believes bush is a great guy. And the thing I find so facinating about his devotion is he's a very bright and educated guy- MA from Georgetown. He's pro-choice, an ex-catholic who's rabidly anti-religion. His favorite poem is Ferlinghetti's Christ Climbed Down From His Cross.
He's incredibly well read, most of his friends are liberals. But I get the last laugh, our son, who just turned 18, is a committed liberal, looking forward to casting his first vote for Kerry.

by the likes of hannity and pals. Hannity keeps saying that bush has signed his 180 which is a complete and blatant lie, but as we all know lies do not matter to these people.

What is of more importance, is that Bush has refused and will not take his current medical examination until after the election. Ask your ex what he is hiding, after all, this is of much more importance than stuff that happened 30 years ago.
