Bush Will Be Vicious Tonight
Bush will not be there to discuss domestic issues because he only has a big puddle of quicksand to stand on. All he's going to do tonight is get dirty and vicious------and, unfortunately, too many people in this nation get all sucked in by that because they cannot think too deeply. He will scream "You can run but you can't hide"; "Tax and spend LIBERAL (demon)"; and he will try to turn every issue into Iraq and get off subject.

Kerry might be forced to make a few Iraq statements BUT he just cannot let this debate stagnate there. And, John has to use the dirty lines himself or the stupid public will declare Bush the debate winner. "Out of touch with reality"; "Cannot solve problems if he doesn't admit they exist"; "In denial"; "Unable to admit mistakes"; "Incompetent leadership"; "In the pocket of big corporations" are the constant blows Kerry needs to land. Point out what Bush has done/failed to do, lay out his own plans, and then stir in a massive dose of one-line insults - that's the receipe for tonight. Bush will be taking off the gloves because he has nothing to run on. Kerry has to take off the gloves and pick up the pick axe..and swing!!!

1. If you saw Edwards on Leno last night
He wasn't holding back anymore. He was saying the things that a lot of people having been thinking for awhile.

I expect we will see more of the same from Kerry tonight.

6. He was great
The opening was the best.

Leno was telling a series of Bush jokes and then asked, "Who the heck is writing these jokes tonight?" Then they cut to Edwards sitting back stage making anti-Bush cue cards. It was a riot.

2. 24 reasons for invading Iraq!
And if the $87 billion comes up, "Bush* threatened to veto the $87 billion in its original form. Bush* believes that tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans are more important than body armor for the troops."

24.

5. Kerry should call him out ...
on "Saying more about what Kerry is going to do, than what he plans to do".

AWOLs answer for everything has been to lie about Kerry's past record and future plans. How can AWOL say anthing but everything is fine and we are going to keep doing the same things that we have been doing.

Kerry needs to hammer home the consequences of bloating the national debt.

Cheers
Drifter

Tonight will be the beginning of the end for then Nightmare that is called the Bush pResidency.

8. Kerry just needs to keep bringing the debate back to domestic issues
everytime shrub goes to Iraq, respond in short, then quickly bring the issue back to the question and how it relates to domestic issues.

9. I agree
I think that if Bush tries to keep hijacking the debate back to Iraq, Kerry should point out that the American people deserve to know where the candidates stand on ALL the issues, including domestic, and not just the ones George feels more comfortable talking about.

10. This unbelievable tack is being touted
by RNC spokesmen. THEY cannot answer questions about the economy but continue to hammer the Iraq issue. Expect it to come up as illustrations to discredit Kerry's promises on the economy. Just as Cheney was the precursor of the lame stiff faced, downcast eyes, mindless attack meme strategy, this one too seems fixed in stone. Nor will El Presidente's numbers be challenged- the few he dares try to recall.

Kerry really needs to take an ax to this tomfoolery.

Haven't we had enough of this shameful excuse of a faux president making a fool of himself and all his backers and having the debate called a "tie" or a balanced presentation of two viewpoints? Of the public knocking on the media heads to awaken them to the truth of Bush's miserable performance and worse nature?

It's a massive Bush failure, a massacre. Limping away, screaming insults against Kerry and finding snide talking points to nyah-nyah to his chortling screened stump audiences, may lose Shrub the election. I would find it much more satisfying to see him crushed and flattened, his earpiece left on the bloody floor, his crib sheets scattered into the audience, his mindless babble beyond all salvage. Whatever shreds of justice and honor remain in this country deserve it- for starters.
Without that the media will preserve the margin for Bush as long as it takes.
