MAGNIFICENT......"THE CHOICE" .....Frontline, PBS special
Saw it last nite. I have numerous friends who went to Nam who are big time Kerry supporters. This goes into some of the great things he did to bring closer to the POW/MIA. But much much more. A MUST SEE. Anyone you know who's sitting on the fence....invite them over to watch this....check the PBS website.

With the Sinclair thing making me ill yesterday...this brought me complete peace of mind. I slept like a rock after watching this last nite.

Frontline # 2301 The Choice 2004

This incisive dual biography of United States presidential candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry goes beyond political rhetoric and campaign packaging to explore how the candidates and their values have been shaped by family background, history, victory, and defeat. (Closed Captioning) (Stereo)

Anyone who watches this will have a new level of respect for Kerry. I must admit, I've intellectualized a lot of my support for Kerry....having been more enamored with Clark....but this turned me into a die hard loyalist.

It also provides a wonderful insight into his overall nature...why he actually thinks it a benefit to look at issues from every possible angle. You'll see analogous speeches to the "I voted for it before I voted against it"....and now understand it is essentially part of Kerry's style to look at issues 25 different ways.

We stand on the verge of electing someone who could be not only the perfect person for this exact time in history....but who could turn out to be one of the best presidents in US history.

3. Too good to be true....did you see it?
I saw F/911 last week and thought it did a thorough job of exposing Bush.

This is actually 10 times better.

I firmly believe that ANYONE who takes the time to watch this....unless they have vested interests in Bushco, bad business, etc....will come over to the Kerry camp.

Pieces of this could be easily put into a minute spot by the Kerry campaign in the last couple weeks.

Hell....just have the campaign put out the word "It's something the American people have deserved to see all along....more truth...less distortions".

6. No, I didn't hear about it until it was almost over but I sure plan to!
I'm going to go set the DVR to record it during one of the upcoming showings, just in case. So glad they're repeating it and making it available online!

2. I loved the part where they said "the only known pic of bush from harvard"
and it's a picture of him blowing a huge bubble.

Laugh out loud funny.

5. I was disappointed...
Just about the only thing I ever watch on TV is Frontline. They have had the most scathing indictments of this administration - and all very well supported and reported.

To me this fell into the too familiar "balanced" reporting you see everywhere. If we hit Bush, we must also hit Kerry.

The one thing I did take away was how dirty Bush's campaigns are. Every single one is a below the belt, shit chucking festival. I definitely think we are in for several October surprises.

8. I thought the unusual attempt to remain unbias was one of the best things
Yes you're absolutely right....I got that impression right from the get go.

But even under that umbrella of let's be careful....look at what came through. I don't know...I was actually more impressed with this than F/911...in sheer terms of being moved in the sense of geeze....here's where we are in American history....and look at this man.....we NEED HIM NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!!

I see this as filling completely the void left by F/911 in terms of ....OK...we know we really have a problem here....now what the hell are we going to do about it.

The subtleties just blew me away.
