Be Proud Democrats! The Worm Continues To Turn
I just came in from driving around my soon-to-be-previously Repugnican dominated Chicago burb of Pleasant Valley Sunday. 20 years ago if you asked for a Democratic ballot, the judges would say "say what???". Now, we're on the verge of really turning things Blue!

This morning, to my complete surprise, I passed a street with not one or two but 4 Kerry/Edwards/Obama/Melissa Bean yard signs! This was a complete shock since I knew of only one person in that area that we had canvassed that we knew was a Kerry supporter, and two of those houses were all but write-offs until the start of the summer. Even better, these houses are directly across from our polling place, so all coming to vote will get a royal welcome!

Yesterday, the Chicago Tribune did the unthinkable, it endorsed Melissa Bean over Phil Crane!!! Folks, we're gonna pick up a House seat in an area that the GOOP never thought they'd have troubles with, and I hope this is happening in districts all over the place.

Now that his short moment of gloating is over, it's back to work...3 weeks and I'm ready for that final kick. Never have I felt prouder to be a Democrat and to be part of making a change for the better for all of us.

Cheers!

2. Thanks Zidzi!!! We're Gonna Win!!!
To say how gratifying a Melissa Bean victory would be is beyond words. I've worked for 35 years to rid my area and this country of that lush and lapdog for the rich and power, Crane. He is even considered a joke by his own party since he was passed over repeatedly for chairmanships despite all that senority. That was one hell of a selling point.

I reported a couple days ago that I was seeing Keyes signs (the rare few) vanishing, and that Bunnypants signs were being vandalized. It wasn't by us...if anything, we told our supporters to respect those properties...only complain if signs were on public property (local parks)...which we caught on a couple of occasions and were quickly removed. Kudos to our village secratary who has kept things clean and fair here.

I'll have to look, my wife found an article in the Daily Herald about the problems of vandalized Bunnypants signs all over the suburban area...and how many of those caught have been kids from Repugnican families...kids who detest Bunnypants and expect a draft if he's re-selected.

While I'm not done...I'm starting to look at other local house races and see if those need a couple of bucks and some enevlope stuffers...looks like we're gonna have a great night on Nov. 2 here in Illinois.

Cheers!
