2. Relax!
The poll samples are very, very small. If they were able to poll 10% of the likely voters, we would get a different result. Less than 1000 people polled is statistically insignificant.

3. which ones are you referring to?
Zogby is tied, Rasmussen is neck and neck, Kerry is up by 4 in both Wisconsin and Ohio. The most recent Gallup actually had Kerry up even with them interviewing more Republicans.

14. And a new Arizona poll has Kerry down just 5
after Bush was ahead by double digits pre-debate. More important, Bush polls at only 49 percent in a state he won easily in 2000. Right now, I'm getting the sense that Bush is having to defend more red state turf than Kerry is blue state turf, which is a 180-degree switch from a month ago.

Kerry probably only has to shore up Wisconsin, New Mexico and Iowa among blue states, which aren't worth that many EVs, while Bush needs to worry about Nevada, New Hampshire (which Kerry almost certainly will win), Colorado, Ohio and Florida.

5. Ok Enrico
take a deep breath, let it out, repeat. The one thing that I have accepted in the past month is this: if you want to find a poll that makes you feel better about your candidate, you can find it. It has been reported that a few polls are polling more Repubs(38-40%) than Dems and Indies; also, just speaking from experience, both of my kids are in the 18-25 age group and neither have land phones, only cell phones, so they have not been polled. Even though the polls say that of this group only 3 or 4 of 10 will vote, that's still a large group of people, right? Ya just gotta keep the faith and believe that good will triumph over evil.

7. I think the polls are looking fantastic. Are you looking at a graphic ?
Don't put to much stock in any electoral college graphics.

They're not reflecting reality at the moment...too many GOP pollsters getting airplay.

All the trends have been excellent and he's ahead in more national polls than not.

8. The CBS poll?
That could just be a normal fluctuation.

electoral-vote.com? I think Strategic Vision is the only poll we can safely blow off completely. There's a lot of Strategic Vision there today.

15. Polls do not take into account the views of...
...newly registered and/or first-time voters. There has been a unprecedented number of new registrations this election year. That's a wild card no pollster can accurately quantify.

Past experience indicates that previously uninvolved people get politically active when they are against something (or someone) than for. That leads me to believe that many of the newly registered are voting against the status quo (Bush).

This may be the difference that makes the difference in this election.

18. But it appears
The GOP are playing dirty with some of those registrations. After hearing about Nevada, it makes me wonder how many other states people thought they registered in and aren't actually registered. If I were Kerry, I would have my legal team ready. However, this fraud just shows how desperate Bush and his cronies are. Voter fraud, media bias, you name it, they're pulling out all the stops to steal yet another election.

17. I have no complaints with the Kerry campaign at this point
As long as they are doing everything they can in the campaign the polls are beyond their control.
