Chalk another lost job to this election!
My brother-in-law got into an argument with his boss about the election. The boss is an insane RW type. Listens to Rush everyday, only watches FoxNews. He also happens to be a long-time friend of the family. We're talking more than twenty, more like thirty years.

Anyway, my brother-in-law works for him part-time. Well, not anymore! Looks like my sister is back to being the only wage earner in that family!

I hate what Bush has done to this country.

1. It's a Civil Cold War
I believe that more and more every day the way things are.

Frankly, I wish the RepubliCONS would secede and pack up to Gitmo. There's a golf course and everything there just waiting for them!

2. Seems the rest of your family must make some tough decisions
personally, I wouldn't have anything more to do with him just for the fact that he fired someone over politics. But now the rest of your family must decide where to side, with your brother-in-law or the jerk that canned him. Family or an outsider??? Hands down family!!

5. Oh, believe me, we're on BIL's side!
It's just really crappy that it has come to this.

The guy is firing someone who was dependable, trustworthy, and flexible with work schedules, etc. because of a political difference!
It's just stupid!

I told BIL that it was because he was causing the boss cognitive dissonance. He can't accept that someone can be both "liberal" and "good".

3. just as bad as what it has done to family relations
The last conversation I had with my r-w parents (who just came out of the closet because they knew what hell it would invoke), my dad hung up on me. He started going berserk when I told him 12 generals and admirals came out of support of Kerry.

7. Yes, I agree. We have some family members who
have already put their brownshirts on.

It's heartbreaking.

6. I almost walked out at work yesterday myself but I
went to lunch and cooled down. I work with all RW religious nuts and yesterday they really got to me.

What is so ironic about it all is these holier-than-thou folks I work with are such hypocrites. I cannot begin to tell you of all the adultery, stealing, and lies, etc. that I have witnessed while employed here.

AARRGGH!

11. Partially, but the argument sealed the deal
The argument started when BIL showed up for work with a bumper sticker (Chimpy's face with the word "LIAR" beside it) the boss did not approve of. It went downhill from there.

9. My son-in-law..
had a job interview and it was all but wrapped up. Went great. The manager walked him to his car, saw the Kerry sticker, asked about it (Who is that you are supporting?) and had a marked change in tone, shook his hand, and he has not heard a word since.

Disgusting.
