Enough with the ear piece
These are serious times with serious issues. That's why John Kerry should be president...rambling on about a meaningless transmitter play right into Bush's hands. (He's a cunning, savvy and very mean politician who makes a living off of people underestimating him).

Bush is a bad president with or without help. Could we please focus on the issues and not some stupid ear piece?

1. Give us some more credit
I don't know about you, but I can multi-task.

This is just one issue out of hundreds I follow, both concerning the election and in other arenas.

No one is focusing on just this one issue.

But it is an important one because it shows Bush is willing to cheat, along with lie and steal.

5. It's called an issue of CHARACTER.
and HONESTY. If you can't understand that, maybe you should look the words up in yer Funk and Wagnell.

11. if directed at me, there's apparently a misunderstanding.
I DISAGREE with the thread originator's position, I have no problem with discussing it, it has legs and has called attention to the chimp's unfitness for office. I say, discuss it a while longer.

I was only pointing out the bizarre logic of the original poster's objection to the proliferation of threads by starting another one.

If it was NOT directed at me, but inadvertantly placed under my post, then disregard this notice.

4. If he'll cheat on something as minor as an earpiece
Then just think how he cheats on really big things, like war, the economy, health care, national security, well you get the idea. I have never heard Kerry say one word about the transmitter and he shouldn't unless there is concrete proof. But that shouldn't stop others from bringing it up. Maybe then there will be concrete proof, if enough people bring it up and check on it.

6. Post an issue, then. OK?
Please don't scold us when we're concerned with the leader of the free world cheating the citizens in what is supposed to be an unscripted exchange of ideas.

7. If it's cheating, it's important...
To think we have a leader of this country that has to have a hand up his ass before he can speak???

8. Cheating
is a *big* issue. Keep screaming about Bushie's cheating. That will win votes. After all, who likes a little whiney cheater?

9. The issue is the weed that would be king is a liar, a cheater
and a fraud! Ear piece is just definite, physical proof of one of his cheating schemes and his violation of the debate rules. Go to some other forum if you don't like that it is discussed here.

10. Something bad about Bush's character is finally gaining traction...
...and you say STOP?

If the average American concludes that Bush cheated in the debate, it's game-set-match. A good 10-15% of voters won't even consider voting for him, on top of the 45% who are already solidly in Kerry's corner.

These things have a life of their own. Late-night comedians have started picking up on it, daytime TV talk shows are discussing it, and now it's breaking into the discourse on cable news.

And remember what we learned about the Swift Boat Vets:
If the viewer decides that the issue is he-said/she-said, we win. Ties always go in favor of the allegation, because the charges received airtime in the first place.

And the best part is- not a single Dem 527 is piling on here. This is completely media-driven.

12. Gettin' a little nervous?
At this point, issues are not divided into "serious" vs. "meaningless", they're divided into "working" and "failing".

This issue was on Leno and Letterman last night, and MSNBC today. Was health policy?

13. No, Focus On Whatever Sticks, That's SMART Politics
Kerry should say nothing about this, but WE should scream it from the rooftops and if the media wants to run with it, that's AWESOME!

"Bush wore an earpiece and a transmitter in the debates, it's evident from the bulge in his jacket and HE STILL SUCKED! That's how INCOMPETENT HE IS!!!"

14. Totally Agree- Stick Um Now!

We have a new thread that is developing a Time Line for his Melt Down on this forum.

It is really not just about the ear piece. The ear piece is only
another example of his serious illness.

It is soooo much broader than the ear piece now.

The earpiece was the spark that got the ball rolling.
DU was a star in bringing this to the attention of the American people and now the world.

Please go the the TIMELINE for the Puppet Boy MeltDown thread and help us out.

Thanks so much.

15. This is a VERY serious issue.
The president is caught lying and cheating. He's a liar because he's attempting to present himself as someone who has a grip on foreign policy; he doesn't. He's a cheat, not playing by the rules. That's say a hell of lot about this man's character. For all we know he's been wearing a wire through-out all his presidency and public appearance.
