Who all is feeling confident about tonight?
I was deadly nervous about the last two debates, but Kerry really proved himself to me in debate #2.

It's kinda nice to not be nervous. I know George Jr. will come out swinging and it's gonna be rough, but I trust Kerry to at least edge him out - tough of course I'm hoping for a slaughter.

Keep it up Kerry!

2. I want * to be battered and bloodied
so all can see what a failure he has been and would continue to be.

3. Kerry will win debate
I feel pretty confident that he will win (whatever that means). But I am not at all confident in the post debate wrap-up. There are too many of these guys in the media who are ready and willing to call a horse a cow (but Bush is more likable, etc.). My hope is that Bush will do as bad as he did in Debate 1, but not sure we can count on that. My dog can do better than Bush did in #1, so . . .

5. Looking forward to it.
The big mystery tonight is: Will Kerry pat down the coWard? ;)

6. Kerry is............. what bush isn't...................Intelligent.......
We have all seen How * reacted when faced with an apposing point of view. We all saw his statesmanship in action with arrogence, anger, impatience when trying to debate someone who is eloquent, intelligent and who backs his flap with facts.

7. Sheeeet, we know what the media whores will do tonight -
if Shrub passed out on the floor in a dead faint, the whores would be talking about how relaxed he was.

Then they'd beat Kerry up for scaring the poor widdle boy king.

8. I get nervous before every debate....
I am very excited about tonight. I think this format really benefits Kerry. I am also confident that he will kick Dumbya's ass all over the stage like he did last time.

However, I am sure that all the media whores will say that Bush dominated, regardless of how bloodied he ends up.

12. It will be interesting to see if he does that again. I bet he's very
concious about the way he's standing.

He may have gained confidence from his non-catastrophic loss of Debate #2.

10. I was nervous before my economics test today.
Now that the test is over, I'm worried about the Red Sox.

The debate is nothing to worry about. Kerry will dominate.

11. comfort
while more comfortable about this debate, i won't say that i'm overflowing with confidence.

i do expect quite a bit of shilling in favor of shrubbie once the debate is overwith, however, i also expect kerry to actually act very prosecutorial and take his case against bush to the jury of the american people. the machine on the right insisted that the first debate wasn't a blow out, and it was. the same machine insisted the second debate was a draw, and we know that polls proved otherwise.

with respect to the media wanting it close to the end, i think they'd have a much better story with the president who should never have been in this spot in the first place. american's LOVE tragic drama, and what would make for greater tragic drama than watching the annointed savior of 9/11 go down in the electoral loss he deserves?

that would fuel investigative journalism for at least 2 years, if not more. can you imagine the giant book displays at borders, B&N, once the pundits took to writing about such an event?

14. 'Cautiously optimistic' is how I would describe it...
... Kerry has shown that he can go face-to-face with the Bush and the GOP smear machine and come out the better man, but the future is never certain, and when the stakes are this high, complacency can be fatal.

16. Agreed - it is unbecoming and dangerous to be over-confident.

However, I am pretty sure that Kerry is neither, nor is he complacent. . .He will no doubt be ready.

17. Kerry's preparedness is one thing I am totally confident about.
That he has done his homework for this.

Kerry's played the Washington game for 20 years - he is no novice, and he surely knows how W. and Co. can come after him.

15. I think that Chimpy...
...will try to pull a switcheroo. Maybe take off his coat at the beginning, e.g. (and make a horse's ass of himself in the process).

Next he'll try to "throw out the rules" and go mano a mano--interrupting Kerry, trying to shout him down, demanding that they have a "real" debate.

I doubt that Schieffer will let him get away with it. Fighting with Gibson was a warning that he's going to have to RUN this debate, not just moderate. I'll be mighty pleased is Chimpy tries the above and Schieffer slaps him down--HARD.
